Lala Kent Says She Knew About Brock Davies' Affair Before Scheana Shay's Revelation

Lala Kent is finally addressing the bombshell that shook the "Vanderpump Rules" universe following Scheana Shay's revelation that her husband, Brock Davies, cheated while she was pregnant.

On her podcast, Kent spoke out about the affair, how she processed it, and where she stands with Davies now.

During the July 14 episode of her "Give Them Lala" podcast, Kent shared her thoughts on the latest "Vanderpump Rules" cheating scandal.

When asked if she knew about Davies' affair before it was released on an excerpt of Scheana Shay's upcoming memoir, "My Good Side," the 34-year-old answered per Us Weekly, "Yes, I did."

However, she added, "But not for a while. So that [excerpt] came out, and Scheana called me and said, 'I just wanted to give you the heads-up that tomorrow this article is coming out with the excerpt. And I may need to tap you in. I'm very nervous."

Kent refused to disclose private details of her conversation with Shay but noted that the excerpt was "beautifully written."

She said, "I won't share exactly what she said on the phone because that's between her and her husband. But I thought the excerpt that was pulled from her book was beautifully written. Well done."

During the episode, Kent also shed light on her relationship with Davies, noting that despite their rocky beginnings, she had seen growth in him. She also said she had processed the revelation of Davies' infidelity.

Kent said, "Not that that matters. I'm not in the relationship. Brock has always been tremendous, well, not always, we've had our ups and downs, and I've said some things to him and called out some red flags to me, but since then, what I have watched is him being a great father to Summer Moon."

She added, "I've seen him with [my daughters] Ocean and Sosa. I just find him to be a very hands-on and great dad."

However, Kent admitted that people would have varying opinions about Davies and his past.

She said, "I certainly did. What I know about life is it doesn't always go as we planned. There are a million moments that I look back on in my own life and go, 'Damn, if I could get a redo, I would really do that differently.' I know for a fact he feels that way. This is my own opinion."

Despite the painful revelation of Brock Davies' infidelity, Kent supports Shay's decision to stay with him.

She said, "For me, the moment you find out that your person has cheated on you, if you decide to stay, that is you forgiving that person, and you have to find a way to move on from it."

The mother of two added, "You cannot hold it over their head forever. I'm not saying that Scheana is doing that. This is just me talking. I know that I'm the type of person that would hold it over your head for the rest of your life."

Lala Kent is not the first "Vanderpump Rules" star to speak about Davies' affair.

The show's alum, Brittany Cartwright, also spoke about it during a recent episode of her "When Reality Hits" podcast.

Cartwright expressed sadness with how the situation played out publicly.

She said, "I hate that it's going everywhere. I only found out about it a month or so ago. Even her friends didn't know about it."

Like Kent, Cartwright was also supportive of Shay's decision to stay with Davies.

She said, "I do know that if Scheana and Brock decided to make it through, then nobody should judge them for that."

In an excerpt of her memoir published by Glamour, Shay recounted the devastating moment Brock Davies admitted to cheating on her in 2021, while she was pregnant.

The confession shattered Shay, especially after suppressing fears triggered by Tom Sandoval's high-profile cheating scandal.

According to Shay, Davies confessed that he acted out of fear of fatherhood and self-doubt, not external pressure.

Shay emphasized that the betrayal was a conscious choice, and despite it being a non-emotional fling with a woman from a gym, the trauma lingers.
