A Look Back At Jennifer Lopez & Sean Combs' Relationship

Jennifer Lopez has been at the center of attention on social media for a few weeks now. It started when the singer announced that her engagement to Alex Rodriguez has been called off. 

A few days later, the New Yorker was spotted hanging out with her ex-boyfriend, Ben Affleck. Again, the duo accompanied each other on a recent vacation and this sparked dating rumors immediately. 

Like many stars, Lopez has had her fair share of celebrity romance. Take a look back on the period she was dating American rapper, Sean Combs.

Following the rumors surrounding Affleck and Lopez this week, Combs aka Diddy took to his Instagram page to share a throwback photo of him and Lopez.

It was not shocking when the duo announced that they were a couple, because in the 90s and early 2000s, they were one of the most popular music stars in the industry. 

Per media outlets, the pair first cross paths after featuring in a music video. Although there’s not information on who's video it was, it still brought the lovers together.

When it comes to celebrity romance, there’s always a high chance of a scandal occurring. These scandals range from public breakups to assaults or wrong use of words on social media. 

For Diddy and Lopez, their first scandal came in a grand style. According to reports, the couple was arrested in December 19991 for criminal possession of a weapon. 

The New York Daily News”reported then that the arrest came after the authorities were alerted to a robbery that took place in the same area. 

Lopez had to spend 14 hours in jail before she could make bail, while Diddy was charged to court. Luckily, the rapper was acquitted of the crime.

About two and half years into their relationship, the pair called it quits. Although they kept the reason for the breakup a secret for a while, in 2003, Lopez opened up in an interview. 

She alleged that the relationship took a wrong turn because she knew Diddy was unfaithful to her. She mentioned in the discussion that it was a first-experience and it seemingly drove her nuts every time. 

Although the star noted that she never caught her ex physically cheating on her, she knew that he was and she could not remain in the relationship.

Many famous people go through several relationships, before finding the right person. In this case, after her romance with Diddy ended, Lopez moved on to other love interests.. 

These included Chris Judd, Affleck, her husband of seven years, Marc Anthony which she shares two kids with, and now, Alex Rodriguez. 

Diddy on the other hand, was involved with several women and became the father of six beautiful kids. His longest relationship was with actress Cassie Ventura from 2007 to 2018. 

Presently, the rumors about Affleck and Lopez getting back together, is taking its toll online. Many fans want this to happen soon.
