Brad Pitt Reportedly Beefs Up Security At His $5.5M LA Home After It Was 'Ransacked' By Thieves

Brad Pitt has reportedly increased security at his $5.5 million Los Feliz home after a break-in incident rocked the area.

The Hollywood star currently resides there with his girlfriend, Ines de Ramon, after downsizing from his previous estate.

The break-in incident comes amid Brad Pitt's legal battle with ex-wife Angelina Jolie over their French vineyard, Château Miraval.

Pitt recently faced a security scare after his Los Feliz home was broken into on Wednesday, June 25.

According to reports, three intruders managed to scale the fence and enter the property through the front windows while Pitt was away.

The burglars were reportedly inside for less than 10 minutes, making off with an undisclosed amount of his personal belongings after ransacking the place.

Although no arrests have been made yet, the LAPD is actively investigating the incident. In response, the "fight club" star has ramped up his home security, placing guards on duty around the clock.

"Neighborhood security was at the house about an hour before it happened," a source told The U.S. Sun. "He has personal security that was always there when he was in residence, but now he has guards there all the time."

The insider noted that Pitt's home was "fairly" accessible during the break-in due to a lack of a "good fence."

They said that "locals did worry about the fact Brad didn't put up a good fence or a hedge, and the home was fairly easy to access."

"As soon as the neighborhood security was off shift, three guys jumped it. It was really unfortunate," the source added.

Although around-the-clock security can cost a small fortune, the source jokingly shared that Pitt has "enough cash."

Pitt moved into the residence, dubbed "The Steel House," in April 2023, downsizing from his $33 million Los Feliz estate.

The 2,000-square-foot, mid-century modern home, which he purchased from oil heiress Aileen Getty, features a sleek L-shaped layout, three bedrooms, two bathrooms, floor-to-ceiling glass walls, a swimming pool, and a built-in sauna.

He is believed to share the space with his girlfriend, Ines de Ramon, 32. The couple began dating in late 2022, a few years after his highly publicized split from his ex-wife, Angelina Jolie, with whom he shares six children: Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, and twins Vivienne and Knox.

Amid his ongoing legal dispute with Jolie over their French vineyard, Château Miraval, Pitt is reportedly looking to rebuild his relationship with their children.

"Brad is a family man," a source explained told the Daily Mail, noting that the love he once had for Jolie and all their kids is something that's still "very important to his life."

Meanwhile, as the twins Knox and Vivienne approach their 17th birthday, Pitt has reportedly made efforts to reach out, hoping to "make amends."

However, those close to him say he has yet to receive a response.

"Brad's desperate to give it one final shot to get together with them and make amends, even though he knows the chance they'll agree to spend time with him is remote, to say the least," a source revealed.

The situation appears particularly painful for Pitt after Vivienne dropped "Pitt" from her surname—a move he reportedly found deeply hurtful. However, the fact that Knox still uses the Jolie-Pitt name has given him a small "glimmer of hope."

As Pitt works to mend his relationship with his children, tensions with Jolie continue to escalate, particularly over their ongoing legal feud surrounding the winery, Château Miraval.

In the latest twist, Pitt has requested that Jolie's business entity, Nouvel LLC, be compelled to participate in a deposition detailing the origins of their joint investment in the vineyard.

The dispute began after Jolie sold her share of the estate to Tenute del Mondo, a subsidiary of the Stoli Group, which Pitt claims violated a mutual agreement.

Doubling down on his legal strategy, Pitt is also seeking access to private correspondence between Jolie and Stoli Group executive Alexey Oliynik in connection with the sale.
