Middleton presented the trophy to the winner, Swiatek, when the game was done. She had earlier congratulated women's wheelchair champion Wang Ziying after her straight sets victory during the game.

She also shared a conversation with an eight-year-old, Lydia Lowe, who performed a coin toss for the wheelchair final. Before she was appointed patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in 2016, Middleton had remained a regular face at the event for years.

Since marrying William in 2011, she has physically appeared at every tournament except in 2013 when doctors advised her against watching the match, heavily pregnant with Prince George.

As shared by The Blast, Middleton admitted that she was experiencing multiple challenges in adjusting back to life pre-cancer treatment or even the diagnosis. Despite putting up a brave face to get through treatment, she noted that bouncing back after is where the real work lies.

Middleton shared the good news of her recovery last September and has since taken a very quiet approach towards the rest of her recovery at home, amid her loved ones.

The Blast reported that her first deed on her recovery list was to steer clear of dramatic family members, attend ballet classes with Princess Charlotte, and return to daily walks. She also planned to keep up with her photography.

"She attended Trooping of the Colour and the Order of the Garter, but felt it was too much to attend Royal Ascot. She felt exhausted. This is normal regarding her return after cancer," a source shared.

Despite her quiet recovery, the royal still has her hands full attending Zoom meetings with her charities and sorting correspondence from around the world. Her friendship with daughter Charlotte also brought a new sense of relief to her life, especially their bond over dance, which Middleton shared as a youngster.

The couple made an important decision concerning their kids' schooling last month, coming to a consensus that Princess Charlotte will attend a different high school from her brother, Prince George.

Charlotte will reportedly attend her mother's former school, Marlborough College in Wiltshire, England, while George favored his father and Prince Harry's alma mater, Eton College. Charlotte's projected school produced several alumni, including her aunt, Pippa Middleton, and Princess Eugenia.

As for George, should he attend Eton College, he would share the same academic legacy with 19 prime ministers and other top-level figures in the United Kingdom. For now, George, Charlotte, and their younger brother, Prince Louis, all attend the Lambrook School in Berkshire, England.
