'Vanderpump Dogs' Star Dan Babic Talks Lisa Vanderpump In Exclusive Interview

Dan Babic is one of the leading cast members of "Vanderpump Dogs" and during an email interview with The Blast on May 26, he opened up about his adoption story and revealed what it was like working with Lisa Vanderpump. 

Like many, Babic, a TV host and style expert, began considering the idea of adopting a rescue dog during the coronavirus pandemic in 2020. So when a member of Vanderpump's team reached out to him directly, he immediately took the gesture as a sign and ventured into her Vanderpump Dogs rescue center in West Hollywood, California.

According to Babic, he was hunting for a small dog to love "back to good health" at the time that he found himself at the Vanderpump Dogs rescue center.

"It breaks my heart even thinking about the torture and mistreatment rescue dogs have often faced. I knew that someone like me who me has all the love in the world to give would be the right man for the job," Babic explained.

Still, when the idea of adopting an animal while filming a reality show was presented to him, Babic was admittedly a "little hesitant."

Following his initial bout with hesitancy, Babic decided to look at "Vanderpump Dogs" for the inspiring and loving stories it includes. 

"I thought the idea for the reality show was sheer brilliance. Especially coming out of a global pandemic. I think people need to see love, light and pure joy more than ever and that’s what this show is," he noted.

Fast forward to months later and Babic is thrilled to be the proud owner of a dog named Gizmo, who he described as his "life partner."

"Sorry boyfriend David!" he joked.

"Finding a dog that is the right fit for you is like dating, and not just for a one night stand but for a life partner," Babic shared.

"The best way to describe [my relationship with Gizmo] is that he feels like an organ living outside my body. The unconditional love we have for each other is so big it cannot be expressed in words."

Looking back on his experience starring on "Vanderpump Dogs," Babic offered some words of advice. 

"I think if you have the ability to change someone or somethings life for the better you should do it," he stated.

When The Blast asked Babic what it was like working with Vanderpump, he told us the former "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" cast member and current "Vanderpump Rules" star is "fantastic."

"I got to know her on a whole other level doing the show. Lisa is a much more sensitive than people realize and I think viewers will be excited to see that never-seen-before side of her," he revealed.
