Scheana Shay’s Friends Blindsided By Brock Davies' Affair

Scheana Shay's recent revelation about her husband, Brock Davies’ past infidelity, has blindsided fans and close friends alike.

The "Vanderpump Rules" star disclosed that Davies cheated while she was pregnant, a confession that even longtime pals like Brittany Cartwright claim to have only just learned.

"The Valley" star Brittany Cartwright opened up about the shocking revelation on her “When Reality Hits” podcast, expressing sadness over how the situation is playing out publicly.

“I hate that it’s going everywhere,” Brittany said per Us Magazine during the July 12 episode. “I only found out about it a month or so ago. Even her friends didn’t know about it.”

While Cartwright didn’t know the identity of the woman involved in Davies’ brief affair, she emphasized her support for Shay’s decision to stay in the marriage.

“I do know that if Scheana and Brock decided to make it through, then nobody should judge them for that,” she added.

Shay’s bombshell is featured in her upcoming memoir, "My Good Side," where she finally opens up about a painful chapter she had kept quiet for years.

In an excerpt of the memoir published by Glamour, Scheana Shay wrote about the day she learned of Davies' betrayal two years after it happened.

“I remained in a state of paralyzed shock as he confessed that he’d cheated on me two years prior, when we were living in San Diego during the pandemic, while I was pregnant with Summer,” she recalled.

The timing made the revelation especially brutal. Shay admitted she had been trying to silence her fears, especially in light of fellow "Vanderpump Rules" star Tom Sandoval’s high-profile cheating scandal.

“I had spent so much time fighting off my anxiety and convincing myself that just because Tom cheated on Ariana didn’t mean Brock would ever cheat on me. Now, I was finding out just how wrong I was.”

She went on to explain Davies' mindset at the time of the affair. “He admitted that — at the time — he was scared about being a father again, specifically about whether he even deserved to be, and he chose to deal with it by sleeping with someone else,” she revealed, referring to his two older children from a previous marriage.

Shay added, “I use the word ‘chose’ because it was very much a conscious decision. No one twisted his arm or dragged him into bed.”

According to Shay, the affair was not emotional and involved a woman Brock Davies had met at a gym, an F45 facility, to be exact.

However, the pain it caused still lingers in unexpected ways.

“I slapped him and threw a Rubik’s cube in his direction, which he dodged,” she wrote, capturing the raw intensity of that moment.

“To this day, every time I see a Rubik’s cube, it triggers me, pulling me right back to this incredibly dark moment in my life,” she continued. “Same goes for any mention of an F45 gym.”

During a July 4 episode of her “Scheananigans” podcast, Scheana Shay shared how fear and self-doubt kept her quiet for so long.

“There are some things that I haven't been as forthcoming about, or maybe that I never corrected the narrative on,” she said per PEOPLE.

She admitted that fans only know “80%” of who she really is. The rest, she said, lives in the book.

“Never shared my side of the story because I've been afraid, or thought, if I tell people what I'm actually going through, then they're gonna think that I'm trying to take the attention off what someone else is going through, and make it about me,” she confessed.

That fear silenced her on reality TV and even on her own podcast.

But now, she is ready to “make it about me,” declaring that the memoir will share “the sides of my story that I have never shared until now in the book, in my own words, with my control of the narrative for once.”

Shay teased that her memoir will include “a couple moments that will really surprise people.”

She also responded to a question about the most shocking thing in her book.

The television personality noted, “There’s a lot about my past, my family, my earlier life experiences that I think the readers will be shocked by.”
