Movie stars are known for portraying roles given to them with finesse and elegance. The character an actor takes however, doesn’t define who they are in real life.
Usually, fans are oblivious of what happens behind the scenes of a movie’s production, which can either be good or bad. Also, people often hear about problematic movie stars creating drama whenever it’s time to shoot a scene. Well, here’s an example below.
Rachel Bilson is a popular actress, who played the character, Summer Roberts in “The O. C.,” but what fans did not known until recently, is that she was a difficult cast member in the series.
About ‘The O.C.’

“The O.C” short form of “The Orange County,” is an American teen TV series created by Josh Schwartz, which wrapped up with a total 92 episodes.
The series was first aired on the Fox network on August 5, 2003 and its last broadcast took place on February 22, 2007.
The series centered on a guy named Ryan Atwood who was saved from a dysfunctional family by Sandy and Kirsten Cohen. The TV drama explored how Atwood navigated through his relationship with his foster brother and a girl next door.
The show remained on the watchlist of millions of viewers, until its ratings dropped, which eventually led to its cancellation in 2007.
Rachel Bilson As Summer Roberts

Bilson starred as Summer Roberts the best friend of Marrisa, whom Atwood was in love with in the series. Although Roberts and Atwood did not see eye to eye on a lot of things, the love they had for Marissa was unwavering.
Bilson’s character was supposed to be on the series for a few episodes, but she quickly became a fan favorite. As a result of this, the creator could not pull her out, for fear of losing fans.
The actress remained on the show while entertaining her fans with her non-subtle personality.
Tate Donovan Complained About Cast Members

In 2013, Donovan explained to “Vulture” how challenging it was to direct some of the young stars as they often displayed terrible attitudes. Although no one knew who the actor was specifically referring to, everyone came up with speculations.
Sadly, the series did not last long as its rating significantly dropped after the writer denied Ryan Atwood and Marissa as chance at a long-lasting love.
Atwood tried to save his love interest from a burning car, and successfully pulled her out. However, he watched her take her final breath in his arms.
In the final season, fans watched the actor spiral into a revenge mission, to hunt down the person responsible for his lover’s death.
Bilson’s Apologizes To Tate Donovan

Bilson recently rendered an apology to her former director Tate Donovan, during his guest appearance on her podcast with Melinda Clarke- “Welcome to the O.C Bitches.”
“…But, I thought you were so wonderful, and such a wonderful director and… an amazing human and all of it, so if I ever added to any of the a******ness, I want to apologize on record,” Bilson told Donovan.
The “Grace” actor acknowledged her apology and disclosed that he held no grudge. He went on to share his best quote from the actress that has stuck with him over the years.
According to Donovan during a conversation with Bilson, she said; “You go, ‘Tate, I don’t read scripts, I smoke pot.”
