Pete Davidson has become one of Tinseltown’s hottest new comedians. The 27-year-old Staten Island native’s began doing comedy when he was a teen. One night while at a bowling alley, Davidson’s friend dared him to do a stand-up comedy act.
After graduating from high-school in 2011, Davidson set off on a journey to pursue a full-time comedy career. After making a few appearance on short-lived MTV comedy shows, Davidson got his big break when he joined “Saturday Night Live” in 2014. Davidson’s comedic style became a hit with “SNL” viewers and before long, the star was branching out to movies with roles in “Trainwreck” and “The King of Staten Island.”
Not Afraid To Speak His Mind

When it comes to Davidson’s comedy style, no topic is off limits. Davidson had a difficult upbringing with the death of his father, diagnosis with borderline personality disorder, and drug use. Pete often uses his past as fodder for his stand-up routine.
Davidson is a comedian who is not afraid to speak his mind. Although some applaud him for his jokes, others find his humor offensive. In 2018, Davidson came under fire for his joke about Dan Crenshaw’s eye patch. Later Davidson would apologize to Crenshaw face-to-face when the politician appeared on “SNL.” However, Davidson later rescinded the apology by saying he was forced to do it.
Chrissy Teigen Becomes His Next Target

When it comes to comedy, celebrities are often the target of jokes. This past weekend during the “SNL” season finale, Davidson decided to focus embattled model Chrissy Teigen during the “Weekend Update” sesgment.
Davidson started his monologue by talking about the pandemic before throwing shade at Teigen. “If there’s one good thing about the pandemic, besides getting Chrissy Teigen out of our lives…” Davidson began the joke, which was met with a mix of cheers and boos. The comedian then ended the joke by saying, “I’m relieved.”
Teigen Part Of Bullying Scandal

David’s joke about Teigen comes as the “Lip Sync Battle” co-host finds herself in hot water. Teigen is no stranger to controversy, but the 35-year-old model has found herself in a scandal that may jeopardize her career. Earlier this month, model Courtney Stodden claimed that when she was 16, Teigen bullied her. Stodden alleged that Teigen would send DMs via Twitter telling Stodden she should kill herself.
Old tweets were dug up to collaborate Stodden’s claims. In a series of tweets to Stodden, Teigen slut-shamed the young girl and wished for her to take a dirt nap. After the news went viral, Teigen issued an apology via Twitter and promised to work on becomng a better person.
Doubts About Her Apology

In Teigen’s apology, she said she reached out to Courtney both publicly and privately. Stodden refuted the claim that she’s heard from Teigen privately, but did say she accepted her apology. However, the 26-year-old model questions Teigen’s sincerity.
Stodden believes that the only reason Teigen is apologizing is to save her career. “It feels like a public attempt to save her partnership with Target and other brands who are realizing her ‘wokeness’ is a broken record,” Stodden wrote in an Instagram post. It looks like the damage may already be done for Teigen, who is reportedly losing several of her sponsorship deals.
