Rapper Metro Marrs wanted to make sure he left a lasting impression on his senior class, so the upcoming musician tossed $10,000 in the air as he walked across the stage at his own high school graduation -- and got busted for his actions!
The 'Quality Control' artist graduated from Langston Hughes High School near Atlanta, Georgia on Friday afternoon when he decided to go out with a bang and make it rain on his high school classmates.
In a viral video of the stunt, Metro can be seen throwing wads of cash into the air which looks like the inside of a strip club. Of course, most of the crowd went wild -- but school officials were not so happy about it!
You Gotta See This!
It should be noted, the 18-year-old graduate just signed with the same label as 'Migos,''Lil' Yachty,' and 'City Girls' -- so the cash is no problem.
The school was not happy with the cash-throwing stunt, so police officers detained the rapper as he exited the stage. As you can imagine, the students and crown were pumped over the incident and many left their chairs to collect the falling green bills!
After the first round of money tossing, Metro reached into his waistband to toss and second round of $1 bills into the air -- and that's when officers stepped in.
Watch The Video!
As you can see, the officers escorted Marrs out of the ceremony and forced him to hand over the remaining money to his father.
In another video, you can hear his dad trying to convince him to calm down and hand over the money. Unfortunately, the upcoming rapper was ticketed for 'inciting a riot' and 'disorderly conduct.' Many fans of the rapper, and others, believe it is a bit of a harsh penalty considering he just threw some money into the air.
If you aren't a huge fan, Marrs is known for his 2020 single, "Bye Felicia," and graduated from the same high school as Playboi Carti.
