Nikki Bella is no stranger to working out. The wrestler is used to working up a sweat both in and out of the squared circle. When Nikki wasn't kicking butt in the ring, she could be found hitting the gym. Although, she's retired from wrestling, Nikki hasn't slowed down in her fitness routine.

After giving birth to son Matteo in July 2020, Nikki has been on a journey to lose her pregnancy weight. The 37-year-old shares the highs and lows of her journey with her nine million Instagram followers. Based on recent photos, Nikki is on track to reaching her goal.

Showing Off Postpartum Body

As someone who's struggled with body image issues in the past, Nikki had no shame in showing off her postpartum body. Five weeks after Matteo's birth, Nikki posted an Instagram story revealing the changes to her figure. The star admitted it was hard to step in front of the camera this way, but felt it needed to be done.

Dressed in a black bra and panties, Nikki explained that most of her pregnancy weight came from indulging in food. Nikki revealed that during her pregnancy, she gave in to her cravings for pizza and baked goods. She said she had 18 pounds to lose to get back to her pre-pregnancy weight and the journey was going to be difficult.

Progression Towards Pre-Baby Body

Nikki has made a lot of progress in getting back into shape. In March, she shared an update on her weight loss journey. In an Instagram photo, the "Total Bellas" star is decked out in white pants and a matching top, showing off her midriff.

"With healthy eating, increase of workout activity and Emsculpt Neo this Mama is almost back to her pre baby body!" Nikki wrote in the caption. She later revealed she was six pounds away from reaching her goal. Nikki's weight loss is impressive and given the workouts she's endured, it's no surprise her journey's been a success.

Workout Routine

Nikki credits working out as a major contributor to her weight loss. With the help of trainer Scott Thom, Nikki's pushed herself in a series of different exercises. Her workout sessions consists of lifting dumbbells, squats, and rope pulling.

Nikki's determination was on full display in her workout videos. Weight lifting is a huge part of her routine and she recently showed off her incredible strength by lifting a 165lb barbell. Nikki's weight lifting video took her Instagram followers by surprise and the comment section was filled compliments on the huge milestone.

Brie Is Her Workout Partner

Nikki didn't have to go through her weight loss journey alone. Joining her was her twin sister Brie Bella. Like Nikki, Brie was also trying to get back to her pre-baby body after welcoming her second child, son Buddy in August 2020.

Although, the journey to getting back into shape was tough, Nikki and Brie had each other's support. The sisters worked out together and offered words of encouragement as they worked towards their goals. Brie has also made progress in getting back to her pre-pregnancy weight. During her last update in March, she revealed she had five pound to lose.

Prepping For Wrestling Return

Aside from getting back to their pre-baby bodies, Nikki and Brie have another reason for hitting the gym. The twins are reportedly planning a return to the squared circle. Although, they've been retired since 2019, the sisters have recently opened up about a possible comeback.

The two are rumored to be returning to WWE sometime this fall. During WrestleMania weekend, the two were inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame as part of the 2020 class. Then on night two of WrestleMania 37, the twins got into an altercation with Bayley, possibly setting up a future match between the three women.
