A source confirmed the diamond gem was an engagement ring, telling PEOPLE all about King and Sosa's blossoming relationship. "She is very close with his family and was staying with his parents after she moved out of her Los Angeles apartment earlier this year," they claimed.

Sosa is undoubtedly King's knight in shining armour for housing her with his parents following her eviction from her Los Angeles apartment. The Blast covered the incident in March, reporting that the TV personality owed over $42,000 in unpaid rent.

King signed a lease for the property in April 2023, agreeing to pay $10,145 monthly. However, her landlord dragged her to court for failing to make payments in January 2025. The plaintiff slammed her as an unlawful tenant for breaching the terms of their agreement and locked King out of the apartment.

The pair eventually settled, with King vowing to leave the apartment in mint condition by March 22, 2025, and hand over her keys. During the case, the actress's attorney argued that she failed to pay due to the Los Angeles wildfires and the exhausting custody drama with her ex-husband.

The Blast reported that a source alleged that King was forced to downsize her living quarters after moving out of her Los Angeles apartment. They claimed the change stemmed from her years-long financial struggles, which worsened amid the custody battle for her two children.

King welcomed sons James and Leo during her marriage to Newman but lost custody of the boys early this year for failing to complete a six-month rehab program. The judge granted her supervised visitation rights while her ex-husband received sole physical custody.

The former couple shall share legal custody of their sons; however, Newman was granted tie-breaking authority. This meant the filmmaker had the final say in decisions if he and King were at an impasse. An insider alleged the outcome broke the mother's heart, noting she was "devastated and embarrassed."
