Suri Cruise, whose father, Tom Cruise, boasts a multimillion-dollar fortune, has shown that she is staying grounded.
The 19-year-old was recently spotted riding the NYC subway, just like everyday commuters, after returning home from her university in Pittsburgh.
Last year, it was reported that Suri Cruise gained access to her father, Tom Cruise's, substantial trust fund. However, the reports were later refuted by her mom, Katie Holmes, in a post on Instagram.
Suri Cruise's Casual NYC Outing After Returning Home From University

Living far from the glitz and glamour of her famous father, Tom Cruise, Suri opted for a humble subway ride in NYC after returning from college in Pittsburgh, seemingly proving she has a "normal" life despite the actor's $600 million net worth.
For the outing, the 19-year-old went for a sporty look, fitting for the sunny weather of the day.
According to photos obtained by the Daily Mail, she donned a light grey cropped T-shirt with an asymmetrical neckline, with one sleeve casually slipped off her shoulder. Suri paired the top with high-waisted, dark-colored leggings featuring mesh panel details on the lower legs.
On her feet were colorful high-top sneakers with a retro design, complemented by thick, light-green crew socks that reached above her ankles.
The sporty vibe extended to her choice of bag, as she carried a navy-blue tote with thin straps.
She completed the casual look by pulling her hair back into a messy ponytail, which subtly signaled that this was a relaxed day out.
Is Tom Cruise's Daughter A Millionaire?

Last year, the Daily Mail reported that Suri is also worth millions in her own right, after gaining access to a significant portion of an alleged trust fund.
The trust fund was said to have been established by her estranged father as "part of the divorce deal" he reached with Suri's mother, Katie Holmes, when they separated in 2012.
It was also reported that the teenager will gain full access in her thirties, and it was set up this way to keep her from getting "overwhelmed' by her newfound wealth.
The Trust Fund Reports Were Refuted By Suri's Mother, Katie Holmes

However, after the news went viral, Holmes refuted the claims in a post on her Instagram page.
"Completely false," the actress penned boldly on a screenshot of the article. "Daily Mail, you can stop making stuff up." She also expressed her frustration with the outlet in the caption, writing, "Enough."
Following the post, fans supported the actress for calling out the outlet over its claims.
"Only you know the truth... and that's what counts. We love you, and believe you, that's for sure," one wrote."
"Way to stand up for your daughter, Katie! I can't imagine it's easy, but you're doing great! The media needs to leave kids alone," another individual commented.
Katie Holmes Once Spoke About Protecting Her Daughter

Holmes' reaction to the reports about the trust fund showed that she was staying true to her promise to protect her daughter from negative media coverage.
During an interview with Glamour in April 2023, the actress spoke candidly about this desire and hinted that it stemmed from the fact that her daughter had been visible from a young age.
"What has been really important for me with my daughter, because she was so visible at a young age, is I really like to protect her," Holmes told the news outlet at the time.
"I'm very grateful to be a parent, to be her parent," she further remarked. "She's an incredible person."
Suri Cruise Stopped Using Tom Cruise's Last Name

As for Suri's relationship with her father, the two have been estranged since his split from Holmes.
Last year, she seemingly chose to cut all ties with him by dropping his last name and adopting her mother's middle name, Noelle.
The decision, which came as a surprise to many, was reportedly made by Suri as a tribute to her mother, who has been her primary caregiver for most of her life.
"She is showing praise for her mother by using her middle name," an insider told Page Six, adding that Suri "wants her own identity" to live by, one that is not connected to her absent father.
The teenager has already been seen using the name in public, although it remains unclear whether the name change has been made legal.
It was first spotted on the casting sheet for her high school play, "The Addams Family: A New Musical," where she starred as Morticia Addams. Additionally, during her graduation ceremony from LaGuardia High School, the event pamphlet also featured her name.
It was also reported that the playbill for "Head Over Heels" on Broadway, in which she had a role, listed her as "Suri Noelle."
