The mysterious conversation between Donald Trump and Barack Obama, which took place in January, is finally out of the shadows, at least according to a new book.
The two powerhouse politicians, known for throwing shots at each other, raised eyebrows at former president Jimmy Carter's funeral early this year. Their amicable sighting sparked numerous speculations about their discussion that remained a secret until now.
Contrary to the theories that believed Donald Trump and Barack Obama had put on a facade to mask the seriousness of their conversation, they reportedly had a friendly discussion about golf.
Donald Trump Reportedly Chatted Up Barack Obama For A Round Of Golf

According to an excerpt from the new book "2024: How Trump Retook the White House and the Democrats Lost America," Trump and Obama's January sighting had nothing to do with heavy topics like politics.
At the time, their friendly demeanour led people to speculate that they were trying to throw off the press by faking smiles while having a serious conversation. However, authors Josh Dawsey, Tyler Pager, and Isaac Arnsdorf shared a different narrative in their book.
The authors, according to TMZ, claimed that the POTUS "sat next to Barack Obama and invited him to play golf, enticing him with descriptions of Trump's courses around the world." The golf invite seemed to have pleased Obama, who was caught on video laughing and smiling.

Obama Slammed Trump's Administration As An Autocracy

Although Trump and Obama looked amicable during Carter's funeral, their relationship was far from it. The former president has criticized the new administration numerous times, including during an appearance at the Connecticut Forum in Hartford last month.
Obama did not mention Trump by name but stressed that democracy was at stake under the new government. He claimed the nation was "dangerously close" to an autocratic government and implored lawmakers and the public to fight back.
"I mean, if you follow regularly what is said by those who are in charge of the federal government right now, there is a weak commitment to … our understanding of how a liberal democracy is supposed to work," Obama explained, per CNN.
He subtly bashed Trump by adding that those in charge "have a weak attachment to democracy."
