Tessa Thompson came into the movie industry in 2002, when she starred as Ariel in a stage performance for “The Tempest.”

The next year, the 37-year-old starred as the main female cast in “Romeo and Juliet: Antebellum New Orleans” in a Boston Theatre. 

Ever since, she has grown in the spotlight, with incredible movie roles as well as a launched career with the Marvel industry.

Thompson’s role as Juliet earned her a nomination at the NAACP Theatre Awards, but she did not stop there. 

In 2005, she made her movie debut with a high role in the CBS drama series “Cold Case.” The following year, she was featured on creator, Shonda Rhimes’ “Grey’s Anatomy” series. 

In 2010, Thompson met with Tyler Perry and asked him to give her a role in his movie “For Colored Girls,” which he did. In 2016 again, she played the character ‘Valkyrie’ in Marvel’s “Thor: Ragnarok.” 

In total, the Marvel actress has been nominated for 26 awards, and won seven of them.

According to her Wikipedia page, in June 2018, Thompson disclosed during an interview that she is sexually attracted to both genders, but refused to label herself ‘bisexual.’ 

Although fans were shocked by this revelation, they showed her love and support for coming out. 

In the same year, rumors about her romantic involvement with singer-songwriter Janelle Monáe spread on social media. 

The women worked together on Monáe’s album titled “Dirty Computer.” In a later interview, Thompson responded to the rumors, saying;

“If people want to speculate about what we are, that's okay. It doesn't bother me.” But this came after she told the interviewer that they lobed each other.

Thompson and Monáe’s dating rumors went on for a while until new speculations plagued the internet again. 

No one knows what really happened between the stars, but both parties refused to make any comments about it. 

Thompson was allegedly dating her co-star, Chris Hemsworth, but his marriage commitment to Elsa Pataky was proof that the rumors were false. 

However, the fans alleged again that the “Avengers: Endgame” actress was dating another Marvel star, Brie Larson. Per unconfirmed sources, the women allegedly had a strong chemistry while shooting the Marvel film.

Despite the dating rumors that have trended online since 2018, Thompson has remained private about her personal life. 

However, recent reports suggest that the actress is finally coming out of her shell. A few hours ago, the 37-year-old was photographed in a deep PDA with singer, Rita Ora and New Zealand film director, Taika Waititi.

Per “Daily Mail, the trio were seated on a terrace with a small table holding three cups of drinks. While they seemed to be having the time of their lives, fans are conflicted about the cuddly photos. 

Last month, Ora was reportedly dating the film director, the recent photos involving Thompson has brought about many questions from fans.
