Candace Cameron Bure Reveals How Her Son Saved Her Marriage

Candace described the year 2020 as a “really, really rough season” for her marriage to the retired NHL player.

She admitted that things were going downhill quickly, and they “didn’t think they were going to make it through.”

However, their middle child, Lev, stepped in just in time with a sermon that would change everything.

According to Candace, the family sat down when Lev appeared with a Bible open, leading a 45-minute talk based on faith and marital values.

“I know I haven’t been married and I’m just a young kid, so it’s possibly hard to take marriage advice from someone this young [who] never experienced it before, but I don’t need to be married to know what the word of God says,” the actress recalled of her son’s words.

Lev Says His Siblings Also Played A Part

Lev wasn’t the only one who stepped up. The 25-year-old, who was also on the podcast with his mom, revealed he had a heartfelt discussion with his siblings about the situation.

According to him, the discussion led to his involvement, which he said “came from a point of love.”

“Even when my siblings and I talked about it, it was like, ‘Man, we really want more than anything for our parents to be together, but let’s get to the matter of fact,’” he stated.

Lev explained that they understood their guidance ultimately stemmed from their spiritual foundation.

“‘It’s only gonna happen through Jesus,’” he shared, emphasizing that since faith was the only path he and his siblings could offer their parents during that time, they pointed Candace and Valeri to Jesus.
