Lindsay Lohan is getting the chance to resume her acting career after being left on the sidelines for about 2 years. Her return will be in a Netflix Christmas movie. In which Lohan will play "a newly engaged and spoiled hotel heiress". That got us wondering which former personal friend she could base her character on.

Also, the description for the yet-to-be-titled movie has drawn plenty of comparisons to a classic. This has led many people on Twitter to criticize Netflix's lack of creativity!

Pretty much all that we know about the movie comes from a tweet that was put out by the official Netlfix Twitter page. In which they announced that Lindsay Lohan will star in a new holiday-themed romantic comedy for the streaming service.

The tweet includes pretty much a synopsis of the movie. Where it describes Lohan's character as a newly engaged spoiled hotel heiress. Who gets total amnesia during a skiing accident. Stop us please if you've heard this one before!

Fans on Twitter were quick to point out that the plot sounded very similar to the movie Overboard. The 1987 film starring Goldie Hawn, and Kurt Russell. Were, Goldie Hawn plays the lead as the heiress of a vast empire who falls off her boat and gets amnesia.

Netflix is essentially going to make the holiday version of that story. Which, coincidently got a pretty recent remake in 2018. Staring Eugenio Derbez and Anna Faris. At least Lindsay's version is going to be in the snow!

Back in April of last year, just as the pandemic started getting really serious, Lohan erased all of the pictures that she had posted on Instagram and left just one cryptic video. The video essentially announced the renaissance of her music career with the single "Back To Me".

The video has gotten over a million Youtube views in the last year and change. However, Lindsay did not produce a full album after that or announce concerts or tour dates. It seems her music career has gone back to being dormant.

Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan have gone from BFFs to worst enemies back to friends and back to hating each other more times than most people can count. The last we checked the duo was not on good terms. With Paris going as far as to call Lohan lame and embarrassing in 2019.

The movie being produced by Netflix may be the holiday version of a double remake, however, there is a good chance Lindsay will take the opportunity to take some shots at Paris Hilton. Giving this movie a watch could be a good trip down memory lane for the 2000's teen generation!
