The Blast noted that Cassie's attorney, Douglas Wigdor, penned a letter to Judge Arun Subramanian to counter the overwhelming calls for Diddy's release by his family and defense team.

Speaking on behalf of his client, who was romantically involved with Diddy for over a decade, Wigdor stated that the rapper "is likely to pose a danger to the victims who testified in this case, including herself, as well as to the community."

Wigdor had earlier told reporters outside the courthouse that Diddy being held accountable for his actions posed a relief to his client and his team.

While they would have liked to have seen him get convicted for the sex crimes and RICO, Wigdor admitted that they would make do with the fact that Diddy faces "substantial jail time."

The MTV Awards winner has consistently shown disdain for the rapper since his legal issues became public. Last year, The Blast reported that the singer teased a change in the lyrics to her monster hit track "TiK ToK," specifically to name-drop Diddy amid his arrest.

She announced a TikTok video where she teased the line, which read "Wake up in the morning feeling f-ck P. Diddy," instead of its original "Wake up in the morning feeling like P. Diddy."

She attached a middle finger emoji in the caption under the post, which gained millions of likes and thousands of comments.

Keisha emphasized to her fans that her lyric change would remain a permanent feature of the song, which represented a significant moment in her life and career. She also felt removing the part eulogizing Diddy was essential to protect the essence of the music.

"I remember making it fun and happy because that's how I felt and wanted others to feel. What I'm so proud of is that's how this song STILL makes me feel through it all, and those are emotions I want all of us to connect to."

While the rapper may have escaped the possibility of spending a lifetime behind bars, he still faces a lengthy sentence if the judge finds him deserving of it.

The father-of-six was found guilty of violating the Mann Act by engaging in the criminal activity of transporting individuals across state lines for prostitution and other illegal activities.

The rapper was reportedly involved in transporting his ex-girlfriend, Cassie, and another unidentified woman for prostitution and other illicit purposes.

After Subramanian's acquittal verdict, Diddy's lawyers demanded a release on a $1 million bond. They also proposed that the rapper be placed on house arrest until his sentencing hearing.

Diddy's hopes of a possible freedom were short-lived. Subramanian denied him the opportunity to go home and await sentencing. The rapper was ordered to return to jail, where he had beenhoused since his September 2024 arrest.

When the rapper heard the verdict, he reportedly had his mouth wide open and attempted to speak with the judge out of shock. A criminal defense trial attorney, Stacy Schneider, broke down Diddy's bail rejection and noted that Cassie's letter to Subramanian may have tightened his resolve not to let him go.

The judge may have reportedly resonated with Cassie's stance on protecting the community from Diddy, in addition to the gory testimonies heard during the trial.

During the bail hearing, the judge reportedly pointed out that Diddy's defense acknowledged their client's violence and problems and argued that it was domestic violence. This revelation may now be one of the factors that has dug a deeper hole for the music mogul.
