Salma Hayek Pinaultis an incredible and talented Mexican-American actress, who got her big break role in Hollywood when she starred in a 2002 film titled "Frida." 

Almost two decades down the line, the actress is still exploring the movie world and getting featured in outstanding blockbuster movies. Another incredible thing about Hayek is that fans love her originality.

Scratch that! She's a lover of pets.

One of the ways that Hayek helps to keep her fans updated and entertained, is by sharing adorable videos and photos of her pets, whom she loves and takes good care of. 

Pet rescue is one of the most preached topics in the United States, as every year, a large number of pets, especially dogs, die from various kinds of diseases or malnutrition. 

Hayek is one of few celebrities who sees the relevance in preaching the importance of pet rescue and adoption.

The "Grown Ups" star has either rescued or adopted many pets including alpacas, dogs, parrots, fishes, horses and many more. Also, per "TheThings" she also owns a cat and hamster. 

During an interview with Ellen DeGeneres, Hayek revealed that she owned five beautiful horses, and this put the audience in a shocked state for a few seconds. 

Although many wondered how the actress got to feed her pets individually, she often discloses how she takes personal care of these awesome pets. Also, she has help from time to time especially when she's way on movie business.

Hayek is very open about her love for pets, and she shares photos of some of them whenever she can, but the award for most featured pets on her Instagram page, goes to her cute dogs.

In 2016, the "Like A Boss" actress shared a sad news on Instagram about her 9-year-old dog, Lupe, who was shot dead by a neighbor. According to reports, when the authorities got involved, they said the act was justified because Lupe allegedly ran into the neighbor's garage in an attack mode. 

Hayek's post on Instagram shared that that in nine whole years, Lupe had never been violent to any human or pet around the house.

Hayek revealed "The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon," that her husband, François-Henri Pinault explicitly told her to stop rescuing animals. 

She mentioned that he arrived at this decision after she adopted a Hamster, which he did not want. At that time, the actress was living with approximately 30 animals. 

However, during a movie project in Bulgaria, the actress saw a homeless dog and came up with a brilliant plan to adopt it. She called her husband, feigning loneliness, but was hilariously caught in the act.

Eventually, she brought the dog home and named him Ocho.
