Former NBA star, Kwame Brown, was trending on Twitter and for those of us who remember his glory days with the Washington Wizards and the Lakers, this was a day, that was long overdue. Kwame Brown has long been the butt of the joke for many sportscasters. If there is one in particular that went after Brown during his career it's Stephen A. Smith.

Brown is finally fed up with the ESPN anchor and literally challenged him to a fight through an Instagram live broadcast.

Kwame Brown is a former basketball player who was drafted straight out of high school by Michael Jordan to play for the Washington Wizards. At the time it was said that Michael believed in this guy so much that he was one of the reasons he came out of retirement to play for the Wizards.

Things just never panned out for Brown though. Most of his career highlights are pictures of Michael Jordan or Kobe Bryant screaming at him for messing up. Since his raw potential never materialized he was criticized heavily by the media.

Stephen A. Smith is one of the most recognizable ESPN anchors to date. It can be argued that he got so popular because of his catchphrases and how harshly he criticized certain players. His Kwame Brown rants have their own video compilations.

Sadly for Kwame, he was never able to have his play on the court make Stephen A. apologize for his comments. One of his favorite things to say about Kwame was,

"He is a bonified scrub, he can't play!"

Kwame Brown / Instagram

For years Kwame Brown did not respond to any of his critics. Apparently one day he woke up and he realized that he had just had enough. Brown took to Instagram live to talk about his long-time detractors.

For Stephen A. Smith he had a very specific proposal. Literally challenging the sportscaster to come down to Seattle and get in a fight with him. Brown mentioned, "You don't even need to sign a waiver".

Although Brown never really showcased much of anything on the court getting in a fight with a 7 foot human may not end well for Stephen A. Smith!

It wasn't just Stephen A., and Skip Bayless that Kwame took on. This was a man who was stomped on by the media for years and never said a word. We finally did speak out he had words for a lot of people.

Some of those people also included former NBA players Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson. Browm called Jackson a fake BLM advocate. Jackson was originally one of the more vocal supporters of the movement following the death of George Floyd. Since Floyd was a personal friend of Jackson's. Kwame held everything in for years, but he is not staying silent any longer!
