Sean "Diddy" Combs has been dealt a major blow after attempting to secure bail following the shock jury verdict in his ongoing sex crimes trial.
The embattled rapper, who was charged with one count of racketeering, two counts of sex trafficking, and two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution, was found not guilty of the top charges, and only found guilty of prostitution.
Shortly after the verdict, Sean "Diddy" Combs' defense team swiftly requested bail, but it has now been denied.
Diddy Bail Request Denied, Rapper Reacts With Shock

Diddy has been denied bail while awaiting his sentencing on his prostitution charges.
The disgraced music mogul was found not guilty on the top charges of sex trafficking and racketeering on Wednesday morning, July 2.
But despite being found guilty on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution, the rapper's legal team asked the judge to allow him to be released from jail in order to await his sentencing at home.
The defense proposed a $1 million bond, with Diddy requesting permission to visit California, Florida, New York, and New Jersey while under release from jail.
Diddy further offered to give up his passport in hopes of mitigating the flight risk concerns, and also agreed to be subjected to drug testing.
"All other standard conditions of pretrial supervision," the rapper's letter recommendation to the judge noted, according to reports.
Unfortunately, Diddy's request was denied by Judge Arun Subramanian, meaning he would continue to await sentencing at the MDC Brooklyn jail, where he has been since his arrest on September 16, 2024.
Following the heavy blow, the rapper has requested to speak with the judge about his bail denial, reportedly reacting with shock to the decision, his eyes wide open and mouth agape.
Cassie's Lawyer Asked For Diddy To Be Denied Bail

After Diddy made his bail request, his former partner, Cassandra "Cassie" Ventura, wrote a letter to the judge via her lawyers, pleading that he be denied bail.
"Ms. Ventura believes that Mr. Combs is likely to pose a danger to the victims who testified in this case, including herself, as well as to the community," the letter read.
Cassie was the prosecution's top witness during the trial, where she shared shocking details about their relationship.
During her testimony, she accused Diddy of physical assault, domestic abuse and rape, claiming that she was coerced into partaking in the rapper's drug-fueled parties, infamously known as "freak-offs," along side male prostitutes.
Cassie's Letter May Have Swayed The Judge Into Denying The Rapper's Bail Request

Following Diddy's bail denial, legal experts have theorized that the rapper's partner's letter to the judge may have played a significant role in his decision to reject his request.
Speaking with CNN, criminal defense trial attorney Stacy Schneider, noted that the "letter might have had an effect on the judge" as it would have made him feel like "he needs to protect the community from Sean Combs."
Schneider noted that she thinks Judge Subramanian "can't unhear the testimony that he heard in the trial."
She added: "The judge pointed out that defense attorneys during the trial admitted that their client was violent and had issues and problems and flaws, and that these were terrible situations. But again, the defense was saying it was domestic violence."
The Singer's Lawyer Praised Her For 'Paving The Way' For A Jury To Find Diddy Guilty Of Prostitution

Although Diddy's trial didn't turn out the way Cassie and her lawyers would have hoped, they still saw the outcome as something worth celebrating.
In a statement reacting to the jury's decision, the singer's lawyer, Douglas H. Wigdor, said: "This entire criminal process started when our client Cassie Ventura had the courage to file her civil complaint in November 2023."
He continued, "Although the jury did not find Combs guilty of sex trafficking Cassie beyond a reasonable doubt, she paved the way for a jury to find him guilty of transportation to engage in prostitution."
Diddy's Case Proves' That Change Is Long Overdue,' Lawyer Says

In his lengthy statement, Wigdor further noted that Cassie's decision to speak out against Diddy has "left an indelible mark on both the entertainment industry and the fight for justice."
He stated, "We must repeat, with no reservation, that we believe and support our client who showed exemplary courage throughout this trial."
Wigdor concluded, "She displayed unquestionable strength and brought attention to the realities of powerful men in our orbit and the misconduct that has persisted for decades without repercussion. This case proved that change is long overdue, and we will continue to fight on behalf of survivors."
