Diddy will have to wait even longer to learn his fate.
The New York judge has delayed the decision to sentence the rapper following his conviction on two of five charges in his federal sex trafficking case. Following the rapper's acquittal of the most serious counts, public reactions have been swift.
Diddy received a five-count charge that includes: two counts for transportation for prostitution, two counts for sex trafficking, and one count for racketeering conspiracy.
Judge Requests Letter From Defense And Prosecution Before Diddy Sentencing

Diddy will find out soon whether he will remain in custody or be allowed to await sentencing from home. Judge Arun Subramanian reportedly asked both the prosecution and defense to submit arguments by 1 p.m. ET before making his decision.
Diddy's legal team is pushing for his release, pointing to his acquittal on the most serious charges, including racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking.
They argued that the music producer would return to his home in Miami and follow any conditions the court sets. Prosecutors, however, are urging the judge to keep Diddy in custody, citing the remaining convictions.
As reported by CNN, the embattled rapper was found guilty of two federal counts of transporting individuals across state lines for prostitution, each carrying a maximum of 10 years in prison.
Could The Music Mogul Walk Free Today? Legal Experts Say It Is Possible

The rapper might be released from federal custody as early as today, according to legal experts following the case.
CNN's senior legal analyst Elie Honig said it would not be a shock to see Diddy leave court a free man, especially since he has already spent nearly a year behind bars and was cleared of the most serious charges.
"If this was just some run of the mill, unknown New Yorker who had only been convicted of what we call the Mann Act, of non-forcible interstate prostitution, he would walk today. Because [Diddy] has been behind bars for nearly a year," Honig noted.
He added that a sentence of "time served" is a likely outcome. Last week, legal analyst Misty Marris said the prosecution strongly proved the two counts of interstate prostitution. "That has been proved by leaps and bounds by prosecutors," Marris said.
Meanwhile, outside the courthouse, things got chaotic. Spectators sprayed baby oil into the crowd, a bizarre nod to Diddy's trial, where prosecutors described his use of baby oil during alleged drug-fueled sex events known as "Freak Offs."
Reactions Trail The Rapper's Verdict

Diddy's partial conviction in his federal sex trafficking case is making waves across the entertainment world, and some of the reactions are anything but subtle.
Cassie's lawyer, Douglas Wigdor, stated that the case would not have occurred without her civil complaint, which she filed in November 2023. "We must repeat—with no reservation—that we believe and support our client who showed exemplary courage throughout this trial," Wigdor said.
He also emphasized that the case exposed long-ignored abuse by powerful men in entertainment and signaled that change is overdue.
Meanwhile, 50 Cent took a mocking tone, posting a grinning photo of himself on Instagram with the caption, "Diddy beat the Feds that boy a bad man! beat the Rico, he the Gay John Gotti."
Singer and former Danity Kane member Aubrey O'Day had a more emotional response, posting her reaction to the verdict on her Instagram live. "This makes me physically ill. Cassie probably feels so horrible. Ugh, I'm gonna vomit," she said.
Judge Advised Jurors Before Delivering The Songwriter's Verdict

Before the jurors returned their verdict, they did so following final instructions from Judge Arun Subramanian.
The Blast reported that Judge Subramanian asked the jury, comprising eight men and four women, to reach their decision independently, emphasizing that they should prioritize the credibility of witness testimony above all.
"Actions may speak louder than words," he told them before deliberations began. The judge reminded jurors that the core of the case was built on what witnesses said in court, and that each person who testified deserved to be reasonably considered.
He thanked them for their time, saying that their service, which involvedweeks spent hearing detailed testimonies and reviewing extensive evidence, was critical to reaching a fair verdict.
Diddy's Ex-Bodyguard Says He Will Leave The U.S. If The Rapper Walks Free

One of Diddy's former bodyguards is preparing to leave the country, permanently, if the TV personality is released following his recent conviction.
Big Homie CC, who previously worked closely with the 55-year-old, says he has already received threats since speaking out against the music mogul. He reportedly believes the danger will only grow if Diddy avoids serious punishment.
"He could be out next week. I know if he walks, you know, I'm gonna be target No. 1, which is fine," the former employee said. While he does not think Diddy will serve a lengthy prison term, the bodyguard plans to relocate "indefinitely" outside the United States to protect himself.
Whether he walks free or stays behind bars, Diddy's next move will be critical.
