For those who haven’t been following the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan have been co-stars for a while as part of Captain America’s team/sidekicks. 

Stan plays Bucky Barnes, also known as the Winter Soldier, who is as ancient as the Steve Rogers himself, who is ably played by the very hunky Chris Evans. Anthony Mackie is the Falcon, who joins the Avengers when the Captain is unfrozen from the ice and starts to regain his footing. 

So why did Mackie feel a tad horrified about his long-time co-star?

Currently, Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan are reprising their roles as the Winter Soldier and Falcon in the eponymously named series “The Falcon and The Winter Soldier,” picking up on the storyline after Captain America grows old, as shown in “Avengers: Endgame” and ostensibly passes way.

While Stan is giving his physical best to the show, he went one step ahead to promote one of his new movies, “Monday,” and decided to let it all hang out, as is visible in the post he shared on Instagram, below. 

That’s interesting, but hardly horrifying, no?

There are plenty of actors who don’t get along but manage to create cool onscreen chemistry, which can push a show to great success. 

So is it the same with Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan? Well, the duo do get along fine…

Wrote Mackie, “Two guys walk into a bar… Finally at the final episode and can’t think of a better guy to have gone on this ride with. #falconandwintersoldier.

To this Stan replied with a heartfelt, “Anthony”.

Clearly, they get along like a house on fire.

So what did Stan do that “horrified” Mackie?

Sebastian Stan is playing Tommy Lee in the new series by Hulu, “Pam and Tommy” and the transformation is amazing… 

So when Stan sent in the pictures to Mackie, to show him his look, Mackie was astounded. He told Variety that he did not react all that well to Stan, and recalled, “I was horrified. I was like, ‘What are you doing? You’re playing Tommy Lee?’” 

Apparently, Mackie was blown away by the transformation and how amazingly well Stan was able to pull off the look.

Fans loved Stan’s look as Tommy Lee as well, writing, “Sir you’re illegal”

Anthony Mackie has nothing but good things to say about Sebastian Stan and he continued, “Sebastian is a great actor and is [getting his due]. People being able to see him for the chameleon that he is — not just the beautifully amazing, blue-eyed god that he is. It’s very refreshing to see your friend win.”

Well, that’s some brotherhood and it seems Mackie is missing his pal as he posted the picture above, saying, “When @imsebastianstan is off being a rockstar and you’re riding solo”…
