In a bizarre yet undeniably curious celebration, fans of Sean "Diddy" Combs have taken to an unusual commemoration to mark the rapper's acquittal on some of the most serious charges against him.
Outside the federal courthouse in downtown Manhattan, a group of supporters began pouring baby oil on each other, seemingly in celebration of the verdict that saw Diddy cleared of racketeering and sex trafficking charges. However, he was found guilty on lesser charges of transportation for prostitution.

The scene was chaotic and surreal, with shouts of joy and confusion filling the air as the verdict was read. It wasn't just the legal teams who had gathered outside.
The press, fans, and onlookers were all present in droves, eagerly awaiting the decision.
The baby oil celebration, which started among a small group of fans, quickly spiraled into an odd public display as people poured the oily substance on each other, claiming it as a ritualistic honoring of Combs' legal victory.
The Legal Victory Stirs Up Controversy

While the courthouse steps were filled with fervent cheer from those celebrating, others expressed their frustration online, particularly on platforms like X (formerly Twitter), where the debate about the case has continued to grow.
"Cult vibes," one person wrote on a video making its rounds on Instagram.
"These are not my people... we don't do stuff like this," another said.
"Smh what's wrong with people," a third chimed in while someone else claimed, "Bro tryna earn his invite to the next freak off."
The number of people praising this verdict and screaming for him is horrendous," another Instagram user said. "But would be ready to hurt somebody if it were your loved ones."
"How are people celebrating that man?" an individual asked on X. "We are all aware he did dark, sadistic things to people. That is not to be celebrated!"

Several more voices online condemned the verdict, with one user commenting that Combs' acquittal was a "representation of how evil our system is to women."
Many pointed to the prosecution's failure to secure a conviction on the most serious charges, with some suggesting that the jury's predominantly male composition may have influenced the outcome.
One X post read, "He committed domestic violence, physical & sexual assault, but they didn't seek those charges, so he won't have to pay for those crimes."
For Combs, who had remained quiet throughout the proceedings, the relief was evident as he was seen praying with his head down in the courtroom after avoiding what could have been a life sentence. His defense team had rested without calling any witnesses, ultimately securing the victory.
Sean Combs Acquitted Of Sex Trafficking And Racketeering Charges

As The Blast reported, Sean "Diddy" Combs was acquitted Wednesday of sex trafficking and racketeering charges after an eight-week federal trial. The jury in Manhattan, however, found him guilty on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution, a partial conviction that still carries serious consequences.
Despite the conviction on lesser charges, the verdict is a relative victory for Combs, who faced life in prison had he been convicted on the most serious allegations.
Though he was visibly relieved in court, the verdict does not mean his legal troubles are over. The two prostitution-related charges could result in a sentence of up to 20 years, with 10 years for each count, though a judge will determine the final sentence.
Combs Faces Uncertain Future

The charges stemmed from accusations that Combs had coerced two former girlfriends into engaging in sex with male prostitutes, an operation allegedly facilitated by a team of employees.
If Combs is given the maximum sentence, it would mark a stark contrast to the victory he and his supporters might have hoped for when the trial began. The future of his legal battles remains uncertain as the case continues to unfold.
