Sutton Stracke Explains How 'RHOBH' Changed Her

Sutton Stracke isn't the same person fans met on the 10th season of "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills." In fact, the boutique owner has changed a lot since joining the Bravo reality show in 2019. 

During an interview with Beverly Hills Lifestyle Magazine, Stracke was asked about what she's learned from her cast mates.

"I think that being around a group of very strong-minded women makes you kind of have to step up," Stracke said. "And so I’ve definitely learned to speak up."

According to Stracke, she used to be someone who shielded her actual opinions with kindness. 

"Before I think sometimes my politeness would come into play. It was almost a defense mechanism for me," she admitted. 

Now, however, Stracke said that she is more opinionated in all aspects of her life.

"I’m more with it to express my opinion forthrightly instead of keep it to myself. It is a double-edged sword. I’m not going to lie. Because sometimes you need to keep your opinion to yourself,” she joked.

Continuing on about how life has changed since becoming a reality star, Stracke said that these days, she's often shocked by seeing herself on television. 

“I was in Delmar and turned on the TV and I was on the television. And I’m like, ‘What is happening?’ Because I haven’t had that experience yet so that was a little funny for me," she noted.

As for life outside of the television, Stracke admitted that she hasn't experienced much of fame quite yet due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

“One of the things that’s been interesting is life really hasn’t changed because we had the pandemic," she noted.

As Stracke explained, season 10 premiered as the pandemic began last year. 

"The show came out right at the height of the pandemic but I don’t really go out so I’ve been just kind of living down a little bit. In that way it hasn’t changed much at all,” she said.

Also during her interview with Beverly Hills Lifestyle Magazine, Stracke was asked to share something that would be surprising to people who didn't know her.

Revealing what would surprise people, Stracke said, “I love a good dive bar, like a dirty, gritty dive bar. I love it and I like a Guiness every now and then.”
