Lala Kent Calls Randall Emmett Her 'Husband,' Talks Mom Life

Lala Kent opened up about her relationship with fiancé Randall Emmett during an interview with OK! Magazineon May 16.

As she and her "Vanderpump Rules" cast mates assembled for the start of production on the Bravo reality series' upcoming ninth season, Kent said that while she and the movie producer don't have any plans to get married at the moment, she's decided to call him her "husband."

"We have no plans to get married anytime soon. We feel defeated [after] postponing our wedding three times due to the pandemic," Kent admitted.

"I will say, I'm sick of calling him my fiancé — so wedding, or no wedding, I'm officially calling him my husband," Kent continued. "We deserve the title of husband and wife — we fought hard for this relationship."

Although Kent began dating Emmett during the fifth season of "Vanderpump Rules," she didn't confirm his name on the show until years later due to the fact that he was still technically married to his now-ex-wife, actress Ambyr Childers, at the time.

While Kent and Emmett aren't married quite yet, the did recently start a family together.

As "Vanderpump Rules" fans may have heard, Kent gave birth to daughter Ocean Kent Emmett in March.

"It's been incredible. No one could have prepared me for the love I have for my daughter," Kent gushed. 

"What was unexpected was the new sense of confidence motherhood brought me," she added.

As she and her cast mates tend to filming on "Vanderpump Rules" season nine, Kent says she's feeling grateful.

"I'm beyond excited and grateful," Kent said of the opportunity to return to "Vanderpump Ruelas" for its upcoming season. "Every year we get asked what fans can expect: This is the first year I don't know. We've lost a lot of key cast members, two of us are mamas now, everything is different. I do know, based on conversations and things that have happened [off camera], it will be an awesome season."

Weeks after Kent welcomed daughter Ocean, Scheana Shay gave birth to daughter Summer.

Also during her interview, Kent shared her hopes for her new book, "Give Them Lala."

People will get a better look into my life and what shaped me. I give inside details about [Vanderpump Rules]. I talk about losing my dad and how it led to my alcoholism. I share things that will make people feel uncomfortable, make them laugh and maybe shed a tear or two," she said.
