"The Bachelor" alum Madi Prewett recently opened up about her years-long battle with addiction to porn and m-sturbation.

In a new episode of her podcast, "Stay True," the former reality star, who appeared on Peter Weber's season of "The Bachelor," said that her struggle with sexual sin began at the young age of 13.

Former 'Bachelor' Star Says She Was A Slave To Porn For Years Before God Set Her Free

"I was about 13 years old," Prewett began her story. "I went over to a friend's house and her parents weren't around and she turned on this show that was extremely inappropriate."

The 29-year-old recalled seeing "everyone" in this show being fully nude, likening it to "The Bachelor," but in her words, "like, way worse."

After watching the show with her friend for the first time, Prewett said she began experiencing feelings that were new to her and "wanting it more."

According to the mother of one, after she began giving in to her sexual desires, she started "living in secret shame."

"I questioned my worth and my identity. Every time I gave into sexual sin, I didn't know my purpose," she said.

Prewett explained that she was unable "to break free" from this cycle until she was honest about her struggle with other people. "I stopped letting the enemy run my life with living in secrecy and living in isolation," she said.

After sharing her story of addiction to pornography and m-sturbation with community members, Prewett revealed she has abstained from that lifestyle for a decade.

"Thankfully, by the grace of God and by the power of Godly community and people around me, I have been free from porn and m-sturbation for — I don't even know — 10 years. But that was something that enslaved me and marked me for so long," the podcaster revealed.

“It’s still a choice for me every single day, even as a married woman, to not return back to the past of my sexual sin addictions,” Prewett added. “It’s still a choice every single day for me not to choose to lust after things that I see online or to give into a feeling that arises.”

'Bachelor' Contestant Wants Others To 'Break Free' From Sexual Sin

According to Prewett, living a life free from sexual sin has only strengthened her walk with God, and she hopes that message is also true for her podcast listeners.

On Instagram, Prewett shared a clip from the recent episode, and in the caption, she claimed people would "stay stuck in what you're too afraid to confess."

"God's not shocked by your sin," she continued before reminding her followers that they, too, could "break free from sexual sin."

Prewett's message clearly resonated with her intended audience, as several social media users began praising the "Bachelor" alum for her vulnerability.

"Thank you for this episode," someone wrote. "So so much, from the bottom of my heart. This has been something that has been convicting me heavily lately, and I needed this."

Another user wrote, "Maddy, thank you so much for sharing this. You have no idea, I just did the same thing, and it was scary. My emotions were all over the place, but I felt free that I didn't have to hide in shame."

Fans Continue Praising 'Bachelor' Star For Her Bravery

And the admiration for Prewett and her recent confession didn't end there.

Former adult film star turned pastor, Joshua Broome, felt similarly, telling Prewett how "grateful" he was that she was able to share her story with "clarity and boldness."

"So important and may God move mightily through this podcast," he finished.

Prewett Has Learned A Lot About Herself In Her Marriage, Too

During another episode of her "Stay True" podcast, Prewett discussed how she's learning to communicate her feelings with her husband, Grant Trout, during moments of frustration.

“That’s been my downfall, is when I’m just reactive,” she said. “Like, a friend does something or even when I’m in a relationship, someone does something that angers me or frustrates me or it hurts my feelings. When I’m reactive in that moment, that’s when my mind is led by sin instead of led by the spirit.”

She went on to detail how she practices this with her husband, explaining that she'll often "take a second" to practice her signature "pause and pray."

“You say, ‘Holy Spirit, show me where I need to own my part. Holy Spirit, show me how I need to communicate this. How I need to share where I’ve been hurt,’” she told her listeners. “Make it about yourself instead of making it about the other person where you’re pointing fingers. What I’ve learned is like, it’s never helpful if I’m like, ‘You did this and you did that. You this, this and that.’”
