Trisha Paytas Reacts To Jeff Wittek Not Suing David Dobrik

A lot of "tea" has been spilled this week after Jeff Wittek released his last video of his series "Don't Try This At Home" and also announced on a livestream that he wouldn’t be suing David Dobrik over injuries.

However, former "Vlog Squad" member, Trisha Paytas, think that Dobrik should be held accountable for his behavior.

Paytas took to Twitter saying, "Totally respect Jeff for this. But as a friend (if I’m David) and I hurt my other friend and took him out of work for a year - as a friend, I would offer compensation out of compassion, guilt, and also because I’m in the position too. I’m shocked he hasn’t"

In June of 2020, Wittek posted a photo with the caption, "Sorry I haven’t posted any new pics of the mullet this week. I got in an accident and broke my face and skull in a few places. But I’m OK. I’m more alive than ever. I’ll heal up good as new, and I’ll get some new pics of that mullet up as soon as they can get me a blow dryer up to my hospital room."

On April 15 of 2021, Wittek released a trailer for a series titled "Don't Try This At Home," which explained the real reason behind his face accident.

The series went on to show how Wittek was dangling of a crane operated by Dobrik, who was a little to reckless and hurled Wittek into the side of the crane damaging both Wittek's face and brain.

Wittek took to Twitter in April saying that the "First episode of my documentary is out now. It’s as real as it gets. Definitely a new side of me that I’m not used to showing. So I really appreciate the amount of support from u guys. I can’t tell u how much it means to me. Makes me just wana go to burning man an s my own d."

Paytas, who is a former "Vlog Squad," responded to Wittik's choice not to sue Dobrik by saying:

"Accidents happen. Of course. But if it was my friend or family I would insist to gift money. Especially since this wasn’t just a car accident where an act of God occurred, this was something specifically for entertainment and proper precautions were not taken to ensure safety," according to a Tweet.

Paytas added in a separate Tweet, "I’m glad Jeff is doin all he can to gain something positive out of this - and I’m not even mad at him for being loyal. It just feels like there should be more coming from David. Just my opinion , it don’t really mean shit in this situation."

Paytas is know for commentating on drama that doesn’t involve her, and while she was once part of a Dobrik scandal, she is not part of this one.

In a recent livestream Wittek said that "Dr. Ayman [brain doctor] was like he brought up a lawsuit and I was like. No, that never crossed my mind, like what we were doing was dumb and dumb for putting my life in David's hands and what David did was dumb, but. Just the way I was raised, you know, maybe it's a good thing, that's a bad name and I'm loyal and I'm like my parents, that's raised me to people, especially when it's an accident. And like, yes, shit happens."

Wittek ended the video by saying, "I feel like I feel like an idiot. I feel like shit. I feel bad for the rest of my life. So I'd rather take this and spin it into a positive thing where I can help people that were also hurt by a friend in an accident or a family member or an accident and. It's like to me, that means so much more than just getting a check because I have a gambling problem anyway, I could blow all the money.
