Andrew Garfield is no stranger to attention, but nothing could have prepared him for a real-life run-in with one of the internet's most unhinged fans.
The actor, known for his charm and wit, found himself face-to-face with a woman who once tweeted an outrageous desire involving a laptop and her chest.
What followed was hilarious, awkward, and classically Garfield.
Andrew Garfield Reunites with Infamous 'Laptop' Fan at Glastonbury

During a Q&A session at Glastonbury 2025, following a screening of his romantic drama "We Live in Time," Garfield had the internet buzzing once again, this time thanks to an in-person encounter with a fan whose thirst tweet once left him speechless.
"I can't look at you in the eye," Garfield said nervously in the video shared on Reddit, fidgeting in his seat as the crowd laughed.
The fan, seated among the audience at the Pilton Palais Cinema, had tweeted back in 2021, "I want Andrew Garfield to smash a laptop on my tits."
The actor had read the tweet in a BuzzFeed video where he tackled a series of NSFW posts.
That one, however, had stood out.
"I'm not gonna do that. I draw the line. NOPE!" Garfield declared in the video, blushing and hiding his face in his hands.
"This is a pro tip, and also, like, boundaries — if anyone says, 'I wanna smash a laptop on your breasts,' just say, 'Get out of my house.'"
Andrew Garfield Handles Viral Moment With Grace And Humor

At the Glastonbury event, the 41-year-old Garfield recalled the moment with stunning detail.
"I had to read a bunch of tweets about me being kind of, sexually objectified online," he told the crowd per Entertainment Weekly after receiving the fan's "informed consent" to share the story.
"And one of them, which got me big, was, 'I want Andrew Garfield to smash a laptop on my tits.' And that is in the room with us tonight."
As laughter echoed around the venue, Garfield delivered the ultimate reaction.
He said, "That is one of the more creative sex acts I can imagine. I haven't imagined participating in that—I refuse—but I'm happy to meet you. And you're very creative… and sick. You're sick."
Andrew Garfield And His Long History With The Internet's Thirst

The bizarre moment wasn't Garfield's first brush with the internet's horniest corners and probably won't be the last.
In January, he made headlines for professing his love for Netflix's "Too Hot to Handle," calling it his "guilty pleasure."
"F-ck, it's really good," he told W Magazine of the show. "A bunch of hot people who think they're going on a Love Island-type show. In the first interviews, they're all like, 'Yeah, I can't wait to get railed like every day,' and the guys [are] like, 'Yeah, I can't wait to rail women every day.' They're just horny, hot people."
Between his online interactions and candid interviews, Garfield has become something of an internet boyfriend, reluctantly adored for his relatability, good looks, and disarming sense of humor.
The Internet Still Can't Get Enough Of Garfield
Earlier this year, Andrew Garfield also made a memorable appearance on "Chicken Shop Date," a YouTube series famous for flirty interviews.
His banter with host Amelia Dimoldenberg left viewers convinced the chemistry was more than just for show.
Though Garfield was romantically linked to actress Monica Barbaro of "A Complete Unknown" fame in February, fans were left rooting for an unexpected spark between him and Dimoldenberg.
That moment only added fuel to the fire of the actor's online appeal.
Garfield Opens Up About Extreme Method Acting for 'Silence'

In addition to his charming wit, Andrew Garfield is also very intense when preparing for his roles.
In 2022, he revealed he took method acting to intense new heights while preparing for his role in Martin Scorsese's 2016 film Silence.
Portraying a 17th-century Portuguese missionary alongside Adam Driver and Liam Neeson, Garfield immersed himself fully into the spiritual and physical demands of the character.
During an episode of Marc Maron's "WTF" podcast, Garfield shared that he fasted frequently and practiced celibacy for six months. He described the experience as "very cool" and said it led to "some pretty wild, trippy experiences from starving myself of sex and food."
To further embody his character, Garfield spent a year studying Catholicism under the guidance of Jesuit priest Father James Martin, whom he referred to as both a "friend" and a "spiritual director."
Their work involved spiritual exercises inspired by Konstantin Stanislavski's acting methods.
