Savannah Chrisley embraces a new lease of life after her parents arrive from prison!

The social media influencer is dashing out of her parents' home to find much-needed privacy in her space weeks after Julie and Todd Chrisley received presidential pardons.

Savannah Chrisley played a crucial role in her parents' freedom by continually advocating for their release and, most importantly, taking care of her younger siblings.

The 27-year-old got a heavy burden lifted off her shoulders as soon as he picked up her dad from jail in Florida last month. Savannah is now making use of her free time by trying to move out of her parents' $1.6 million condo into a place of her own.

She discussed this on the new episode of their show "The Chrisleys: Life After Lockup. The media personality declared that after two years of looking after her siblings and her parents' property, she would desire to return to her fun-loving life with much less responsibility.

Reacting to her parents' question about missing living in a proper mansion with big yards and pools, Savannah reiterated that she is ready to put all the thoughts of becoming a homeowner behind her.

"I have learned that a house is not a priority to her. Maintenance is not a priority to her," Todd added. She then reminded him how he came through the door, nitpicking her caretaking skills after his release. According to PEOPLE, the influencer defended herself further, noting:

"I was literally fighting for y'all for two and a half years and raising kids, I think the floors are fine."

In 2023, The Blast reported that Savannah's experience acting as the guardian to her siblings and taking care of her parents' home for two years was not all bad.

In fact, it shaped her into becoming a completely different person from who she was before their incarceration. The influencer noted that she was carefree with her finances before jail happened, as she never thought anything could go wrong.

However, running the household as a single mom changed her view. "I feel like God never gives you more than you can bear. I feel like what is happening right now is exactly what I needed to not be this spoiled, entitled whatever, because what's happening now is testing who I am as a person," she noted.

She was also forced to be more financially prudent when the rate of work she received was significantly reduced in the wake of her parents' situation.

Savannah Was Beyond Happy To Be There For Her Family Through The Storm

She went through all stages of grief, and while she felt intense anger towards the situation, she spared her younger ones from the negative emotions. Savannah clarified that it brought her peace knowing she is taking on such a crucial role for her siblings.

The influencer noted that she genuinely enjoys spending special moments with the two younger kids as they play important roles in her life. However, all this bliss does not exist without some struggles.

She disclosed that while she tries to be a good adult figure in their lives, her 25-year-old self at the time still has issues figuring out what to do and how to help them grow the right way.

The media personality discussed that taking on such responsibility was typically meant to happen in stages, but she feels like she was being thrown into it abruptly.

Does The 27-Year-Old Have Plans For An Elective Position?

Savannah’s efforts to secure her parents’ release inspired her to aim much higher than just advocacy. As noted by PEOPLE, the podcaster has her sights set on a congressional run to solidify her calls for prison reform. In her words:

"Now I see all the broken things in the system where individuals have to be rehabilitated, where we need mental health treatment for these individuals, as well as giving them job opportunities and advocating for them when it comes to that."

The media personality admitted that her parents’ experience in jail opened her eyes to just how bad life is for inmates. She emphasized that her opinion on how only bad people went to prison changed during those times.

She affirmed that she had considered running for Congress, but it was just a thought. Savannah noted that she is uncertain if becoming a congresswoman is her calling, but her conviction to remain a voice for younger voters stands.

Savannah Chrisley Banked All Her Hopes For Parents' Freedom On Donald Trump's Victory

Trump becoming the 47th president of the United States was beyond a dream come true for the entrepreneur. The Blast stated that she confirmed it was the only ticket that guaranteed a reunion with Todd and Julie.

She recalled getting emotional alongside her brother, Grayson Chrisley after it was confirmed that Trump had won the election. When the call finally came through in May that Trump had granted her parents clemency, she could not contain her shock.

According to her, Trump had called her personally to inform her that her parents would come home that night or the next day.

Savannah’s parents were jointly sentenced to 19 years in prison for tax evasion and bank fraud. Their former accountant, Peter Tarantino, also received a three-year prison sentence for his participation in the fraud.
