Who Is Andrew W.K., The Man Kat Dennings Just Got Engaged To

It's official, Marvel star Kat Dennings is off the market, and the man who whisked her off is the white-pants-wearing "God of Party" Andrew W.K. 

It also seems that Andrew has taken Beyoncé's song to heart, and heeded her warning when she sang, "Cause if you like it, then you shoulda put a ring on it;" because he did. 

Kat Dennings is now engaged to be married and sporting a rock the size of a golf ball. While fans wished the couple all the happiness, everyone wants to know who 42-year-old Andrew W.K. is and how did this Hollywood romance begin.

Now, what do we know about Andrew W.K., lovingly called AWK by his fans, other than he has a headful of hair, straight and a tad grimy in comparison to Kat's glistening curls?

The man, as is obvious from the picture, is quite the musician, singer, and multi-instrument player, along with being a motivational speaker and actor. 

And it seems the romance has been in the making on social media for a while, just that we seemed to miss all the little hints Kat left. 

But did she have to say yes to the only guy who jams with a microphone down his pants? Or wears only white pants, which she finds "dumb"?

34-year-old Kat Dennings has not been engaged before. From 2011 to 2014, she dated her co-star from her hit series "2 Broke Girls", Nick Zano. 

After she broke up with Zano in 2014, she left a rather cute comment on Andrew W.K.'s picture of him doing grocery shopping, saying "You are a tall drink of milk AWK".

It seems AWK did not take it forward, and it could be because he was a married man, husband to Cherie Lily since 2008. Divorce proceedings between the two began in 2019, and Dennings began to date singer Josh Groban, although this relationship ended 2016. 

But it seems Kat was holding a torch for AWK...

So what was Dennings' reaction to Andrew's proposal. If her social media caption is to be believed, it was "Don’t mind if I do"!

The congratulations poured in for her friends and fans, including Elizabeth Banks, Lily Aldridge, Shay Mitchell, and more, with a screaming bit of excitement from Drew Barrymore who commented, "Oh my god!!!! CONGRATULATIONS".

Fans of AWK were also happy for him, using his own song to congratulate him, "so let’s get a wedding going, let’s get a wedding going! ? ?"...

Meanwhile, his sixth album, "God is Partying" will also be released in September 2021 so we could be expecting a double celebration soon.
