Rumer Willis is admitting that she may have not thought about all parties involved when she shared a social media post about the devastating conflict going on between Israel and Palestine in the Middle East. The daughter of actors Demi Moore and Bruce Willis took to her Instagram Stories early Thursday morning to share a message with fans after Rumer apparently received backlash following her post about bringing peace to the escalating situation between the Israelis and Palestinians.
"Wanted to take a moment to hold myself accountable," Rumer Willis wrote to her 877,000 followers on Instagram.
She continued, "Yesterday I shared some information on my stories about the conflict and devastating situation occurring with Israel and Palestine and it was expressed to me that it was very one sided. I want to help support and [bring] attention to what is going on but I also know that sometimes that requires staying silent until I can take the time to properly educate myself."
Looking back on Rumer Willis' story timeline, the only mention of the Israel-Palestine conflict was a repost by Madonna's manager, Guy Oseary.
The photo, which has gone viral in the past, appears to show a young Israeli boy embracing a young Palestinian boy as they face the destruction of their country. Oseary, who is Israeli-American, was also making a message of peace on his Instagram, although many pointed out that he is obviously a huge supporter of Israel.
Rumer is now saying that she realizes she should have been educated from both sides of the situation.

"With anything my intention is to always educate myself about what is going on and learn responsibly about all sides so what I do share with you all comes from a place of deep understanding free from any uneducated bias sot hat I can speak and share with meaningful insight," Rumer added.
She continued, "I am always open to feedback and constructive criticism and appreciate those who took the time to bring it to my attention."
