Brad Pitt is at the center of a frightening home invasion incident after his Los Angeles estate was broken into late Wednesday night, prompting a full crime scene investigation.
According to the LAPD, three suspects scaled the front fence of the actor's Los Feliz home around 10:30 p.m. before smashing a window and forcing their way inside.
Police have confirmed that Brad Pitt was not home at the time of the break-in.
CSI Swarms Brad Pitt's Mansion After Break-In Leaves Home 'A Real Mess'

Photos obtained by Daily Mail show CSI investigators combing through the property on Thursday, searching for evidence in the aftermath of what one source described as "a real mess." Officers in blue gloves were seen entering and exiting the home, while plainclothes detectives carried toolkits and evidence bags back and forth.
Inside, it appears the intruders "ransacked" multiple rooms, tossing Pitt's belongings across the floor and flipping over furniture in what sources believe was a frantic search for valuables. It's unclear what was taken during the burglary, though investigators confirmed property was stolen.
A source told the Los Angeles Times the thieves appeared to be "looking for what they could take of value." As of now, there's no confirmation on whether Pitt's girlfriend, jewelry designer Ines de Ramon, was inside the home at the time of the incident.
Latest Burglary Adds To Surge Of Celebrity Home Heists

The break-in comes amid a recent wave of burglaries targeting celebrity homes in the Los Angeles area. Pitt's ex Jennifer Aniston, along with Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson, have all faced similar security scares in recent years.
According to police sources, the intruders shattered a window to break into a guest house on Wilson and Hanks' Pacific Palisades estate. While the alarm system was activated, ABC News reports that the burglars never made it into the main residence.
Just last week, Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban's Beverly Hills property was burglarized on Valentine's Day. Around the same time, LAFC star Olivier Giroud's Southern California home was also hit, with thieves reportedly making off with a significant haul. The 38-year-old reported to authorities that the intruders made off with nearly $500,000 in jewelry, including more than a dozen high-end men's watches, after breaking in through a smashed window.
While it's not yet clear if these break-ins are connected, law enforcement sources have not ruled out the involvement of South American burglary rings, a network believed to be behind numerous high-profile heists across the U.S., particularly in elite neighborhoods like Los Feliz and Beverly Hills.
Brad Pitt Is Currently On His 'F1' Promo Tour

The incident also comes as Pitt has been busy promoting his upcoming racing film, "F1," which he stars in and co-produces alongside Formula One legend Lewis Hamilton. Just days ago, Pitt was spotted attending the film's London premiere with de Ramon by his side.
Pitt hasn't led a film since 2022's "Babylon," but producers of "F1" managed to lure him out of his cinematic pit stop with a high-octane pitch and a team that even Pitt couldn't resist.
Jerry Bruckheimer Reveals How Lewis Hamilton Helped Seal The Deal

Legendary producer Jerry Bruckheimer, who is behind box office hits like "Top Gun: Maverick," "Pirates of the Caribbean," and "National Treasure," recently opened up to Deadline about how the project came together and how they got Pitt on board.
"Brad's the opposite of everything you just said," Bruckheimer said, responding to a question about whether Pitt might have hesitated due to his age or the intense physical demands of the role. "He loves motor sports, period. He's been riding motorcycles for years, and he tried to do a movie with Joe [Kosinski, the director] previously. It was called 'Run Like Hell,' I think, and it didn't work out."
But this time, the stars aligned, thanks to the help of seven-time Formula One world champion Lewis Hamilton.
"The first thing we did is we went to Lewis Hamilton, before we had Brad," Bruckheimer explained. "Joe and I said, 'This is the kind of movie we want to make. We'd like you to be a producer and make sure we get it right.' He leaned in right away, said, 'I'd love to do it.'"
Brad Pitt Shifts Into High Gear As Retired Racer

In "F1," Pitt plays Sonny Hayes, a veteran driver pulled out of retirement to mentor a rising star, played by Snowfall actor Damson Idris. The high-octane film is set to take audiences inside the fast-paced world of Formula One racing.
As for the break-in, LAPD investigators are continuing to review surveillance footage and canvass the area for leads. At this time, no arrests have been made.
