Rapper Snoop Dogg Urges Fans To Pray For His Mom In New IG Post

Snoop Dogg is a one of the most popular and successful rappers in the industry, with over 175 singles, four soundtrack albums, three EPs and one video album. 

In recent years, the actor took a step back from his rap career to focus on other aspects of his life, including his family; both immediate and extended. 

In a new Instagram post, Dogg shared a cryptic message about his mother’s health, and had a special request for his fans all over the world.

A few days ago, the American rapper and record producer took to his Instagram page to share a lovely photo of his mother, Berverly Broadus aka Tate.

The photo showed Tate in a gorgeous shiny red dress designed with silver stones, and it was paired with a hat that had silver designs around it. 

The rapper also captioned the photo saying; “I need all my prayer warriors for momma right now please and thank you” followed by a prayer hand, flower and wrapped love emoji. 

Although fans did not know what was going on, they shared love, prayers and words of affirmation in the comment section of the post.

After his first post that sought prayers for his mom, Dogg further shared beautiful photos of his mom, and another one that showed he and his brothers posing with her. 

A few days later, the rapper again shared that his mom was still ‘fighting,’ and that he needed everyone to keep praying. 

Again, he did not reveal what was happening with his mother, but fans were certain that it was serious enough for the rapper to repeatedly ask for their prayers. 

In a string of posts made by the rapper, fans showed love to him and Tate, whom they wished for a speedy recovery.

In one of the recent posts made by Dogg, he sent out an appreciation message to Tate for all she had done for him, and how she stood by him always. 

He also thanked her for choosing to raise him, even when things were hard, she could have decided to give him up, but she didn’t.

It’s no news that Tate and Dogg have shared a very special bond since he was a child. His father, Vernall Varnado, abandoned his mother when Dogg was only three months old. 

His mother always called him ‘Snoopy’ as a child because of his fondness for cartoon characters from a film titled “Peanuts.”

In 2020, Dogg slammed journalist, Gayle King, for trying to smear Kobe Bryant’s name by asking Lisa Leslie about her experience with the late basketball player during an interview. 

During the interview, King referenced Bryant's 2004 rape case as Leslie paid tribute days after his death.

A few days later, Dogg sent out a public apology to King for the hurtful things he said, as he was moved by emotions about Bryant’s untimely death. 

During a sit-down with Jada Pinkett on Red Table Talk, Dogg explained that his mom motivated him to apologize to the journalist.
