There are only a few weeks left until “The Masked Singer” season 5 finale, and fans have gotten a fair amount of clues to help them decide what secret celebrity is hiding underneath each costume. 

Guesses for Piglet have ranged from Charlie Puth to Adam Lambert, but fans are pretty sure they already know who is behind this secret identity.

There are several key clues that may help reveal who is really behind the Piglet mask. 

In episode 2, there’s a “Love in the Mud” title card with rose petals, which seems to indicate the Piglet’s connection to some kind of reality dating show. 

The Piglet, who calls himself a “hopeless romantic,” mentioned that the world witnessed one of his major heartbreaks, but in the world of celebrity romance, this could be anyone! 

Episode 4’s video clue package took fans out of the dating game and onto a football field, where Piglet revealed that he had an archnemesis. 

In later clue packages, Piglet mentioned that he had become a “family man” but later moved back in with his parents when he started having a rough time. 

With so many ambiguous clues, it’s hard to narrow down Piglet’s exact identity, but fortunately, fans have a few ideas. 

Fans of the boy band “98 Degrees” immediately recognized the singing voice of Piglet as that of Nick Lachey.

There are a lot of clues to support that theory. One of the clues Cluedle Doo provided was that “Piglet can stay cool in the heat” and 98 degrees is pretty hot.

The clue about his public heartbreak could also be a nod to his highly public breakup with actress and singer Jessica Simpson. 

Lachey also presented the Netflix reality show hit, “Love Is Blind” with his wife, Vanessa Lachey. 

Although he and Vanessa have been married for almost 10 years now, in 2013, Lachey moved back to his hometown of Cincinnati, which could be a nod to the clue about moving back in with his parents. 

It feels worth mentioning that Cincinnati has the nickname “Porkopolis” and is home to the Flying Pig Marathon. 

Although the clue might be a little on the nose, er, snout, it might be a dead giveaway that Lachey is really behind the Piglet mask after all! 

The football clues could be a nod to a public fight Lachey was involved in back in 2012, when he was kicked out of a Cincinnati Bengals vs San Diego Chargers football game for fighting with a fan. 

Then again, he has also made three Super Bowl appearances, which help support his connection to all of the football clues seen in the second video clue package. 

Although these are all solid reasons to think that Lachey might be behind the Piglet mask, only Piglet’s unfortunate elimination will reveal if fans are right!
