Ellen DeGeneresis currently living with "Friends" star Courteney Cox but is it really due to the fact that there's trouble in paradise between the 63-year-old talk show host and her wife of 12 years, actress Portia de Rossi?

During the May 6 episode of "The Ellen DeGeneres Show," via YouTube, Degeneres revealed that after selling her home in Beverly Hills, Cox became "my landlord." 

"We sold our house here in Beverly Hills and I needed a place to stay. [Courteney was] kind enough to say, 'Yes, stay at my house,'" DeGeneres recalled, via YouTube.

Courteney Cox Was Nervous About Ellen DeGeneres' Arrival

According to Cox, she was quite nervous about her "style guru," DeGeneres, staying at her home because it hadn't been recently renovated and did what she could to make sure that the place was to her liking upon arrival.

"I was just really ready for you, and then my assistant went there the next day after you'd left, and [I asked her], 'How does it look? Is it okay?' And she's like, 'Yeah, it looks great.' I said, 'Show me around.' And all of a sudden, it was like, 'Wait a minute. Ellen's toothbrush is on my side,'" Cox revealed.

Courteney Cox Jokes That Ellen DeGeneres Is A 'Terrible Roommate'

"I was like, 'Well, where is my makeup?' So, essentially, you're a terrible roommate. You took over my side and your side and your side," Cox continued, laughing.

In response to Cox's claims, DeGeneres denied that she took over as much as Cox had suggested.

"That was Portia who took over your side.  I only have one side and she happened to be there one night," DeGeneres shared.

DeGeneres then addressed the recent rumors suggesting she and de Rossi may be on the verge of a split.

Ellen DeGeneres Is Not Having Marital Issues

“So I should explain. I'm not having marital troubles. I'm not out of my house because I'm — I'm not living with Courteney Cox because I'm kicked out of my house,” DeGeneres confirmed.

According to a report from Mansion Global in April, DeGeneres and de Rossi sold their Beverly Hills home for about $47 million after initially putting the property up for sale for $53.5 million.

The outlet went on to say that DeGeneres and de Rossi lived in the home for just under two years.

Ellen Degeneres Bought Her Beverly Hills Home From Adam Levine

In May 2019, Degeneres and de Rossi purchased their Beverly Hills property for $42.5 million from Maroon 5 frontman and "The Voice" judge Adam Levine.

So, in just under two year's time, the couple made a profit of $4.5 million. 

According to the real estate listing, the home boasted 10,000 square feet of living space with five bedrooms, a resort-like pool, outdoor kitchen, and a tennis court.
