Porsha Williams has shocked the digital space by confirming she’s engaged to be married after just one month of dating. The “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star has said yes to Simon Guobadia, co-star Falynn Gubadia’s estranged ex, with Mother’s Day bringing a fat ring and a fat load of news. Bravo fans, who have watched mom-of-one Porsha’s unstable relationship with Dennis McKinley, are now discussing the 35-year-old’s choice of soon-to-be husband, with Porsha herself taking to social media to set the record straight. Posting to Instagram yesterday, the star told her followers: “Our relationship began a month ago—yes we are crazy in love. I know it’s fast but we are living life each day to its fullest. I choose happiness every morning and every night. Tuning out all negative energy and only focused on positive wishes. He makes me so happy and to me, that is what matters most.”
Porsha, a mom to two-year-old Pilar Jhena, then addressed “all of you who need facts.”
Not holding back, the Pampered by Porsha founder continued: “I get the optics but Simon filed for divorce from a previous marriage in January. I had nothing to do with their divorce filing. That’s between the two of them.”
“Falynn and I are not friends, and Simon’s divorce has been settled. Our relationship is a positive, loving step forward in everybody’s lives.”
The star is now denying that Simon gave her the same engagement ring as he did his ex-wife. More photos below.
Porsha also took a moment to mention ex-fiancé Dennis McKinley, father to her daughter. “Simon and Dennis are committed to being respectful and supportive of my happiness in this situation, as well as being the best co-parents they can be to baby PJ. Two black men stepping up and being amazing people-let’s praise them!!!!” she added.
Falynn and Simon married in June 2019 in Atlanta – Falynn has three children from a prior relationship. Simon, meanwhile, is a dad of five. Skip the jump for more.
Porsha, who is now sporting a 12-15 carat emerald cut stone on her engagement finger, with the jewel said to be worth $1 million, disabled comments to her post. She concluded writing: “It’s truly a beautiful moment in my life & we cannot wait to spend the rest of our lives together. xoxo P #LoveWins.”
