True crime fans, buckle up because PAVE Studios has just released its highly anticipated Gilgo Beach Murders episode of "Clues," a new Crime House original podcast hosted by powerhouse creators Morgan Absher and Kaelyn Moore.
The fan-suggested episode dives deep into one of New York's most chilling serial murder investigations, unraveling decades of mystery, missed opportunities, and overlooked clues.
Known for their massive social followings and gripping storytelling styles, Morgan and Kaelyn have cultivated a combined audience of millions through hit shows like "Two Hot Takes" and "Heart Starts Pounding."
With "Clues," the duo teams up to dissect infamous cases in a format that's as immersive as it is unsettling.
Why Did The 'Clues' Podcasters Choose Gilgo Beach Murders?

"I think the fact that this case likely could've been solved a lot quicker had investigators not had such a bias against sex workers," Morgan told The Blast. "It was extremely frustrating hearing this, and I think a lot of our listeners had the same feelings.
Kaelyn added, "It's one that's still unfolding and on a lot of people's minds. It took years to solve, but when you get into the weeds, it should not have taken that long."

When asked what shocked them the most during research, Morgan said, "For me, it was definitely the cell phone pings. This killer was calling and harassing some of his victims' family members."
She continued, "And the way one younger sister kept taking calls just to get some answers… it's unimaginable. But this led investigators to have an idea where the suspect lived and worked… and yet didn't seem to take it further than that at the time. That was a bit shocking for me."
Kaelyn was equally stunned. "For me, it was how detailed of a description investigators had of the killer and his very specific vehicle from years prior. They didn't trust these witnesses because they were associated with sex workers, but they had very clearly seen this man and knew what he looked like."
Overlooked Clues And Missed Justice

The hosts emphasized how dismissing the victims as "just sex workers" led to fatal delays.
"It was the multiple descriptions we had of the suspect and his vehicle. It could have taken just a quick trip to the DMV to start gathering leads… and yet it went ignored for years," Morgan explained. "The task force that was finally established solved this in about six months. First place they seemed to go? The DMV. This is a huge overlooked one for me."
Kaelyn added, "This is a case where the police wouldn't even consider the missing women 'missing' simply because they were sex workers. They missed that there were even women missing for years!!"
Gilgo Beach Murders Theories Debunked

Morgan debunked one of the most common beliefs about the case.
"I think one theory I saw a lot is they didn't have enough evidence to solve this case years ago… when in reality they did. The info they used to solve this had been sat on by investigators for years. It just speaks to the corruption that was in the agency, and how fast a good task force with agents that care can really solve something."
Kaelyn noted how web sleuths had overlooked the actual suspect.
"After really doing a deep dive, it was interesting to see how Rex wasn't really on any web sleuths radar," she told The Blast. "People were digging into the backgrounds of some of the women's therapists, and the neighbors on the street where one woman went missing, but no one really pegged Rex until he was caught."
What's Next?
While the episode is already captivating audiences, there's still more to come.
"The verdict didn't make it into the episode," Morgan said. "But it's something we're definitely going to update our listeners on. Who knows, maybe Kaelyn and I will be standing outside the courthouse when it happens."
"I can't wait to watch the trial and give everyone the update," Kaelyn echoed.
