Veteran actor and boxer Mickey Rourke has just ensured that Marvel never casts him after he took to Instagram and threw shade at the acting in MCU movies.
Best known for this Golden Globe and BAFTA award for his role as a washed-up wrestler in the eponymous movie, "The Wrestler", Rourke was once typecast as the bad boy of Hollywood in movies like "Wild Orchid" and erotic drama "9 1/2 Weeks".
He's 68 and still doing movies, although his roles are fewer and far between Of course, bad-mouthing Marvel does not help, does it?
Unhappy With Marvel Since 'Iron Man 2'

Mickey Rourke did make it to a Marvel movie, Iron Man 2 to be precise, where he was cast as the main villain, Whiplash.
He played Ivan Vanko aka Whiplash and apparently he spent months researching and preparing for the role, trying to develop the character into a more rounded format.
Marvel cut some of the scenes that Rourke found crucial, and it did not please him at all.
And he was more than happy to air out his grievances saying that he was not a Marvel fan and would not want to do another MCU movie, ever again.
He's happier with his dogs...

Apparently, during the pandemic in quarantine, Mickey Rourke chanced upon a TV show and it caught his attention, enough for him to binge-watch the show.
While he loved the show, and that's cool, he decided to diss Marvel alongside, killing two birds with one stone. Said Rourke in an Instagram post, "Respect to all of you, the work that you all do is real acting, not like that crap that all on Marvel shit."
Fans disagree, saying, "Hey, but I like that Marvel sh*t too, Mickey! We can like all the things. ?"

Yes, that is Mariska Hargitay, and she is one of the reasons why Law & Order: SVU has become Rourke's favorite show.
In an Instagram post, Rourke praised the show saying, "I’ve never seen such terrific acting ever on television!"
He also mentioned Mariska Hargitay, saying she "is a very concentrated actress, she is absolutely great in every episode". He also went on to say "the direction is top class and most of all I am really impressed with this ensemble of highly talented actors."

Most fans and followers of Mickey Rourke do agree that the show is great. Wrote one of his fans, "agree with your assessment of the show, it is an exceptionally well scripted and well-acted production.???".
More appreciated his fanboy moment, writing, "Best post-EVER. Welcome to the fandom Mickey" as he also made sure to mention Christopher Meloni, Stephanie March, and BD Wong.
Others were appreciative of his direct approach, "Had to get that Marvel dig in there. ?"
Now that's is Rourke, for you. But on the brighter side, there's Salma Hayek, excited to be the mother of all Eternals.
Watch her, after watching Rourke cuddle up to his dogs, of course.
