Jenna Davis is having a moment, and she's savoring every second of it.
The multi-talented actress and singer is back as the voice of horror's sassiest AI doll in "M3GAN 2.0," the highly anticipated sequel to the viral 2022 hit. And as if that weren't enough, she's also releasing her debut album, "Where Did That Girl Go?," on the same day, June 27.
In an exclusive interview with The Blast, Jenna Davis opened up about returning to the role of "M3GAN," the inspiration behind her coming-of-age record, and what's next for her growing career.
Jenna Davis Steps Back In The Voice Of A Killer Doll

For Davis, stepping back into M3GAN's synthetic shoes was equal parts thrilling and challenging.
"I feel truly excited to be back," she said, celebrating the milestone with Raising Cane's. "We didn't want to take away what people loved from the first film, but we definitely wanted to level up." And level up it does. This time around, M3GAN is sassier, funnier, and surprisingly a little more heroic.
"There's a new villain in town, and M3GAN gets some heroic moments," Davis teased. "She's claiming her hero title in a way, and I'm excited for people to see that side of her."
While the original film introduced M3GAN as a deadly AI companion, the sequel explores how she evolves. "AI is always advancing, and M3GAN is no exception," Davis said. "That's part of what's so exciting. She's adapting, and I'm truly excited to see how people react."
Why M3GAN Resonates With Fans

So what is it about M3GAN that makes her such a standout in the horror community?
"She's blunt. She says exactly what she's thinking, and she shocks audiences in the best way," Davis shared with The Blast during a phone interview, in partnership with Raising Cane's, ahead of the film's premiere event in NYC on Tuesday, June 24.
"It's that unpredictability that makes her so fun to watch," Davis added. "People never know what she's going to do next."
M3GAN Isn't Just A Doll, She's Got Sass, Softness, And Scarily Real AI Charm, Says Voice Actress

And while she's undeniably creepy, M3GAN also has layers.
"She has this uncanny quality, spunk and sass, but with a softer side," Davis continued. "There's a genuine bond between M3GAN and Cady, and that makes her different from villains we've seen before."
"She's not just a doll. She's AI. And because AI is becoming more and more prevalent in our world, that makes her even more intriguing," the voice actress added.
A New Musical Era: 'Where Did That Girl Go?'

Alongside her return to the big screen, Davis is ushering in a new chapter with her debut album, "Where Did That Girl Go?" a personal, emotional journey through the highs and lows of young adulthood.
"This album is like my baby," Davis shared with The Blast while munching on some Raising Cane's chicken fingers. "Each track reflects a different emotion. Whether you're feeling sad, sassy, in love, or lost. There's something for everyone."
The title is significant for Davis, who's navigating her early 20s and the weird, beautiful shift from girlhood to womanhood.
"People are starting to call me an adult or a woman, and it's freaking me out a little," she admitted with a laugh. "It's scary, but also thrilling. That's what this album is about, growing up, facing new experiences, and sometimes asking yourself, 'Where did that girl go?'"
For Davis, the project marks a milestone. "It's my birth album, my coming-of-age project," Davis said. "I'm so proud of it."
What's Next For Jenna Davis?

With M3GAN 2.0 hitting theaters and her album out in the world, Davis isn't slowing down anytime soon.
"I'm working on a TV show that I'm really excited about, but I can't say much just yet," she teased. "It should be out in the fall."
She's also gearing up to take her music on the road. "I'm putting my band together and getting ready to tour," she said. "It's full steam ahead." Still, amid the whirlwind, Davis is trying to stay grounded.
"I just want to enjoy the moment," she shared. "Things can feel rushed in this industry, so I'm soaking it all in." And honestly? That's the energy we love to see.
Jenna Davis' new album "Where Did That Girl Go?" and "M3GAN 2.0" both drop June 27.
