Diddy's case is witnessing some last-minute adjustments as closing arguments loom.

Prosecutors in the rapper's case have made a U-turn from the initial plan to admit testimonies alluding to the rapper's involvement in three serious crimes as part of their case.

This development comes as Diddy's defense team allegedly plans to include the ongoing Middle East crisis as points against federal law enforcement in their closing argument.

In a dramatic surprise before closing arguments begin in Diddy's federal criminal case in New York City, prosecutors announced their decision to withdraw particular critical testimony given at the trial. These include kidnapping, attempts at arson, and aiding and abetting sex trafficking.

The Government responded in a letter to Judge Arun Subramanian that it was doing the bidding of the judge who had instructed them to minimize any lengthy jury instructions.

In a more accurate narrative, prosecutors have seemingly grown weary of pinning the alleged kidnapping of Diddy's former employee, Capricorn Clark, on him.

The former employee was reportedly detained in a building and submitted to a lie detector to prove whether she had stolen any jewels from Diddy, alongside Cassie, who was allegedly detained at the London Hotel.

Prosecutors have also ditched their plan to pursue an attempted arson charge involving claims that Diddy blew up Cudi's car in a jealous fit. TMZ confirmed that Prosecutors did not even directly implicate Diddy in the fire during the trial, but these criminal charges are connected to Diddy's racketeering charge.

The Prosecutors Suggested Some Modifications To The Jury Instructions

On Diddy's aiding and abetting sex trafficking charge, the prosecutors remain silent as to what elements of sex trafficking they would omit from the instructions provided to the jury.

However, most of the various sex trafficking charges remain. Only elements of them, alongside aiding and abetting, are being dropped. The prosecutors are also requesting that a new instruction be added to the existing one.

According to them, the fact that the women involved with Diddy had given prior consent to engage in sexual acts with him does not negate the fact that it could be withdrawn.

They also want jurors to be aware that because a woman received, monetary compensation for sex does not rule out elements of sex trafficking.

The prosecutors also want the jury to know that neither subjecting the supposed sex trafficking victims to physical restraint nor commercial sex service is needed in committing coercion in sex trafficking.

The ongoing disruption in the Middle East may be a source of concern to many, but for Diddy and his lawyers, it has presented an opportunity to prove a key point in their case.

The Blast reported that the defense team plans to argue that the Homeland Security Investigation has neglected its primary obligation. According to them, the security operatives have focused on Diddy's private affairs rather than addressing pressing security and geopolitical issues.

A source noted that Diddy's lawyers are banking on this strong point as part of their strategy to prove that the case against Diddy is irrelevant. They are convinced the prosecution has failed to provide solid proof in this somewhat sensationalized case.

"This is a manufactured case, a kind of bedroom policing. Rather than worrying about Diddy and baby oil, maybe HSI should be focusing on Iran and actual national security threats," the insider added.

U.S. bases overseas have witnessed missile launches from Iran in a retaliatory move to the attack on Iranian nuclear bases initiated by President Donald Trump in solidarity with Israel.

Last week, Diddy's case witnessed some sensitive moments when his graphic footage from the alleged sex parties finally found a spot on the jurors' screens. The prosecutors presented the video, and its content reportedly upset the jury.

The Blast shared that a special officer from the Department of Justice guided the jurors through important hotel locations in specific videos. The clips were reportedly directly linked to Diddy's freak-offs and were tagged according to the location where they were held.

Some jury members watched in disbelief with their headphones on as they went through 11 minutes of content. A thick coat of silence reportedly engulfed the entire room, leaving the court to pick up excerpts from the content playing in the jurors' ears.

The viewers gave varying reactions to the scenes in the video, ranging from shock to disappointment and astonishment.

The Yeezy founder received Diddy’s son, Christian Combs, during his stay at the 5-star hotel, Château Marmont. As noted by The Blast, Christian showed up with his entourage to probably visit the rapper, as he could be seen on a call, but Ye was not pictured with him in the venue.

The rapper has been vocal in his support for Diddy both online and offline. He made a stop at the NYC courthouse sometime this month but could not gain access to the premises.

When asked if he was there in solidarity with his colleague and long-time friend, the father-of-four answered affirmatively. Sources claimed that the rapper’s name was not listed among the approved names of Diddy’s family and friends slated to be in the trial.
