Bruce Willis' Daughter Replies Critics Accusing Her Of 'Exposing' Her Dad 'To The Public' Amid Dementia Battle

Bruce Willis' daughter, Tallulah Willis, has addressed the backlash surrounding the personal photos of her father that she recently shared on social media.

A critic had called for the photos to be kept private, saying they showed Bruce in a "vulnerable" state. In response, Tallulah explained why she chose to share the images, despite their personal nature.

Several fans of Bruce Willis also supported Tallulah's decision to post the photos, while slamming her critics.

On Sunday, Tallulah shared new photos of Bruce Willis amid his ongoing battle with dementia. In two of the snaps, she could be seen enjoying heartfelt moments with the retired actor, including one where she shared a warm hug with him.

However, what appeared to be a touching moment between the 31-year-old fashion designer and her father was quickly criticized by some fans.

"I don't think you should expose your dad to the public! He is vulnerable! And some things should be kept private! You don't have his permission to post it," a netizen lashed out at Tallulah.

Instead of responding with a similar tirade, Tallulah penned a reply that explained why she chose to post the intimate pictures.

"Hi. I hear that. As a family, we use our discretion when posting. Today was a great day filled with smiles. I made the judgement call to show that to the world, because I know what he means to everyone," she wrote, per the Daily Mail.

Fans in the comment section of the post also showed support for Tallulah and criticized those who sparked the backlash.

One wrote, "You guys should be ashamed, it's her father and family. He will be in the news regardless. Let her show everyone the love she has with her dad. It's not like it's a picture of him rotting in a bed. These are beautiful family moments!! Share what you feel fit. ...we love you and your dad."

Earlier in the year, Tallulah wrote a touching tribute to celebrate Bruce amid his struggles with dementia.

"He's a spaceman, a hero with a badge, a sassy detective with unparalleled banter - and it's been a privilege to witness all these different characters enlived, and engraved into history because of his innate spirit and soul," she penned alongside a picture of her and the "Die Hard" star.

Tallulah went on to reflect on how she was "frequently asked" by people what it was like to have the actor as a father, and then described him as "a kid from Jersey who hit the motherf-cking jackpot of life by the stroke of luck he couldn't even explain."

She also recounted moments from her childhood, like how he combed her hair during baths and always made sure she laid a towel down before eating on his bed.

For the recent Father's Day celebration, Bruce's loved ones took to social media to share candid posts about him, per the Daily Mail.

Rumer Willis, his 36-year-old daughter, wrote that she felt a "deep ache" within her to talk to him about "everything I'm doing and what's going on in my life," while also wanting to ask him the same.

She then seemingly acknowledged that this wouldn't be possible due to his condition and went on to express her gratitude that he is still present with the family.

The actor's wife, Emma Heming Willis, also posted about the actor, saying that she was "profoundly sad today" and wished that "things could be different for him and lighter for our family."

"And while that might sound dismissive, to me, it's not. It grounds me. It helps me return to the acceptance of what is and not fight this every step of the way like I used to," she added.
