Arnold Schwarzenegger is setting the record straight on which of his blockbuster films brought in the biggest paycheck, and surprisingly, it’s not "Terminator."

During a candid appearance on Bravo's "Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen" this week, the 77-year-old action icon reflected on his decades-long Hollywood career.

Though Arnold Schwarzenegger declined to reveal exactly how much he made, Cohen pressed, asking if it was more than $40 million, to which Schwarzenegger nodded yes.

When asked about the film that earned him the most money, Schwarzenegger pointed to the 1988 comedy "Twins," in which he starred opposite Danny DeVito.

“It was 'Twins' because we had gotten no money, no salary,” Schwarzenegger shared.

Cohen quickly added, “You got a piece of the backend!” to which the former California governor confirmed, “Exactly. And it was fantastic. We went all the way to the bank with that one.”

"Twins" marked a major turning point in Schwarzenegger’s legendary career, which has spanned over five decades and multiple industries. After rising to fame as a seven-time Mr. Olympia bodybuilding champion, the Austrian native conquered Hollywood in the 1980s and ’90s with a string of action blockbusters like "Conan the Barbarian," "Commando," and his most iconic role as the "Terminator" in James Cameron’s sci-fi franchise.

Despite being best known for his tough-guy persona, "Twins" showcased his comedic chops and opened doors to a new genre for the muscle-bound superstar.

The film was a massive hit, grossing over $216 million worldwide, and proved that Schwarzenegger had staying power far beyond the action genre. In it, he portrayed Julius Benedict, a kind-hearted, genetically engineered man who meets his street-smart brother Vincent, played by DeVito, later in life.

Cohen also asked if Schwarzenegger had ownership in a sequel, which prompted the actor to reveal that "Twins 2," tentatively titled "Triplets," never made it to production.

“The sequel would have been called 'Triplets,' and it was not done because the director, Ivan Reitman, passed away just before we wanted to start shooting the movie,” he explained.

Schwarzenegger also revealed that Eddie Murphy had been tapped to play the third brother in the long-anticipated follow-up.

Now promoting the second season of his Netflix action-comedy series "FUBAR," Schwarzenegger shows no signs of slowing down.

"The first season was so interesting and so popular and was No. 1 for endless amount of time," the actor told The Hollywood Reporter. "I think that’s why Netflix committed to do a second season. I cannot take any credit for anything that you see other than when you see me acting. But not the writing and the story."

"Maybe here and there, they will ask me. But the writers know what works with me," he admitted. "A lot of times writers, if they’re really good, will figure out that, 'Nah, this line is not good enough,' or 'Let’s come up with something funny.'"

The actor continued, "They have a bunch of writers in the room, so someone always comes up with something good. If not, they say a lot of times to me on set, 'If you have some additional lines you want to try, we can try those.' And I do that. With every movie, we do exactly that. But I thought they came up with a really great continuation of the first season because it’s always a challenge."

And while the "Terminator" may be his most iconic role, it turns out the real jackpot was found in comedy.
