Nearly two years after their headline-making divorce, Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner appear to be on better terms, so much so that fans were left stunned when the exes were spotted spending time together in New York City.

Jonas and Turner were married in 2019 but filed for divorce in September 2023 after four years of marriage. What followed was a highly publicized legal battle over custody of their two daughters, with the drama playing out across tabloids and courtrooms.

At one point, Sophie Turner filed a child abduction claim against Joe Jonas, only to withdraw it months later.

The former couple, who co-parent daughters Willa, 4, and Delphine, 2, were seen chatting casually in a new TikTok video posted by user Morgan Phelps.

The clip, which quickly gained traction online, shows Jonas and Turner from across the street, their backs mostly turned to the camera, but their body language appeared relaxed and amicable.

“I know this is creepy, but 14-year-old me was SCREAMING & GASPING for air… also we did not approach him…. Only creeping from afar,” Phelps captioned the video.

Interestingly, signs of a thaw in their relationship began surfacing even before their NYC run-in. Turner recently promoted Jonas’s new album "Music for People Who Believe in Love" on her Instagram Stories, writing, “Go go @joejonas.”

Their surprise reunion comes amid rumors that Turner has split from British aristocrat Peregrine Pearson, whom she began dating in late 2023.

During a separate interview with Vogue in May, Turner described the days following the divorce news as “the worst few days of my life,” recalling the pain of being stuck on set in another country while headlines about her personal life exploded.

Jonas has been spending plenty of time in New York City lately, both with family and fans.

On Sunday, June 22, he stepped out for a date night with brothers Kevin and Nick Jonas, along with their wives, Danielle Jonas and Priyanka Chopra. The group was seen leaving the upscale Italian restaurant Emilio’s Ballato in NoHo, celebrating Nick’s wrap on his Broadway run in "The Last Five Years."
