Since last summer, fans had been waiting on DJ Khaled to finally release his 12th studio album, "Khaled Khaled." There was no official release date at the time but then, Khaled had two huge records on his hands in preparation for the album, which were "Popstar" and "Greece," which both featured Drake on them and continued the trend of longtime collaborations between the two. On April 30, Khaled finally released Khaled Khaled and it was in for a huge first week in terms of sales.

DJ Khaled officially posted 93,000 units for the "Khaled Khaled" album in its first week. 14,000 accumulated for pure sales and the album also reached 106.87 million on-demand streams. Following the news of Khaled Khaled hitting number one on the Billboard 200 chart, Khaled showed tears of joy on his Instagram feed.
"I cried many nights. Tears of JOY and Pain making this album. Everyone’s beautiful words, texts, messages really touched my heart. God is Great! THANK YOU! THE LIGHT ?"

Aside from the "Popstar" and "Greece" records with Drake, Khaled got plenty of other huge artists on the "Khaled Khaled" album. These included Jay Z, Nas, Meek Mill, H.E.R., Cardi B, Megan Thee Stallion, Lil Baby, Justin Timberlake, and DaBaby, and more. The collab with Cardi ended up being revealed hours before the album's release. She went on to appear on the "Big Paper" song and that brought the album to 14 songs in total.

Khaled has been very consistent with his album releases as he's put out three albums since 2017. These are "Grateful," in 2017, "Father of Asahd" in 2019, and now, "Khaled Khaled." Grateful hit number one on the Billboard 200, Father of Asahd debuted at number two in 2019, and then, Khaled returns to the top of the charts with Khaled Khaled. Khaled was reportedly surprised in 2019 that Father of Asahd didn't debut at number one but now, he reigns supreme once again.

Shortly after the COVID-19 pandemic began in March 2020, it was difficult for many men to be able to find barbers available due to shops being closed. For DJ Khaled, he still had access to barbers but decided to grow his hair out, When he posted the outcome, social media was very surprised as they usually see Khaled with a clean lineup and haircut overall. He soon jokingly said he'd get a barber to cut his hair in a spacesuit. Lately though, Khaled is back to his regular image after going through the rough few months with growing his hair out.
