Rapper Pop Smoke Allegedly Murdered By 15-Year-Old Who Was After His Diamond Rolex

Rapper Pop Smoke was murdered by a 15-year-old shooter who was after the famous musician's diamond Rolex...this according to a detective who testified in an ongoing criminal case connected to the slaying.
According to multiple reports, an LAPD detective took the stand in a preliminary hearing last week, where a different suspect in the case if facing charges connected to the murder.
In the hearing, the officer said the intruders stormed the rapper's Airbnb rental home in the Hollywood Hills and were after his diamond-studded Rolex along with his Cuban link chain.
Shockingly, the timepiece later sold for only $2,000.

According to reports, the teenager who allegedly pulled the trigger was the youngest of the four assailants who now all face murder and robbery charges. The young participant apparently admitted his role in the murder during a recorded interview with a cellmate while locked up in a Juvenile Detention Center.
The 15-year-old "admitted that they asked for the jewelry" and had "a confrontation" with Pop Smoke. "They got into a fight, and he shot him three times," the detective said...citing the recording. "He said he shot him on the back."

“He admitted that he shot the victim three times with a Baretta 9 (mm.),” the detective testified.
He continued, “He said that when the individuals got inside, the suspects confronted (Pop Smoke), who was in the shower naked." At that point, Pop Smoke decided to fight back and "rushed" the intruders who allegedly "pistol-whipped" him and shot him in the chest.
Shockingly, one of the suspects pressed a black semiautomatic firearm to the forehead of a female who was with Pop Smoke and shouted, "Shut the f--k up. Do you want to die?”

“She heard a struggle coming from the shower area and heard Mr. Jackson screaming. Mr. Jackson ran out of the bathroom and then she heard a loud pop and [heard] Mr. Jackson fall to the ground,” the detective testified.
Adding, “Two other individuals began to kick him."
Pop Smoke's mother was in the courtroom in Los Angeles and spoke to the New York Daily News after the hearing, saying, "Now it really feels like he’s not coming back," adding, "I don’t know what I thought being here would do. I thought something would happen that would help me feel differently. But to hear they kicked him when he was down. It’s so disrespectful and dishonorable. There was no honor in this. And the irony in this is that those same kids are the kids he said he made music for."
