The announcement follows comments Cardi B made in May 2025, when she expressed frustration with artists who had been slow to send in their featured vocals for the 23-track album.
"I really need these f-cking features," she said online. "And it's like I'm not really trying to press or go crazy on these artists because I love them down."
She added, "But it's like, come on now! I need that! I need that right now! Helloooo! Y'all don't want to miss this opportunity. I'll sing this sh-t myself! But I really need y'all, and I need y'all to hurry up, and I love y'all. I feel like nobody want to miss being on this album."
In a previous interview, covered by The Blast, Cardi B teased the project's name, saying it represents her well because she's a "messy queen."
"I feel like it's unexpected, and I feel like it's something that's not really out right now," she continued. "It's gonna be things that people do expect me and a lot of things people don't expect from me."
The 'Up' Rapper Recently Released A New Song

On Friday, June 20, Cardi B released a new song, "Outside," after performing it two days before during the Cannes Lions Spotify event.
According to PEOPLE, Cardi B told her social media followers that she released the song largely due to their persistence before sharing what inspired the snappy track.
"I made this song a few months ago when I was very, very angry. I had to change some bars because I was angry, honey," she said.
Her Last Album Debuted At No. 1 On The Billboard 200

Cardi B's new album comes seven years after her debut album, "Invasion of Privacy," debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart.
The project, which featured the popular singles "Bodak Yellow" and "I Like It," sold 255,000 copies in its first week and garnered critical acclaim.
The LP also earned several accolades, including a BET Award, a Grammy Award, and a Guinness World Record.
In a 2018 interview, she spoke about how proud she was of the project, adding that she wanted to show listeners that she could "do different types of music."
"I felt like people [were] boxing me [in] and think that I could do like a certain type of sound. And I just wanted to show people that, no, I could do different things. And then on top of that, I'm proud that I could be a woman in my album, you know?" she added.
"A lot of people think that I'm just this girl with no feelings. I hate admitting it, but I do have feelings. I am a woman, at the end of the day. I do have emotions, and I'm glad that I could pour it out in my album, in my body of work."
