It’s a mama bonanza this Mother’s Day!
While 2020 had most of us ‘bored in the house, bored in the house, bored,” for some lucky people, 2020 was anything but. Many A-listers used the time in quarantine to work on their dirty tango skills ?!
You know the old ‘bump & grind.’
A number of celebrities got knocked up during quarantine and welcomed their first born.
This Sunday, May 9th marks many of Hollywood’s hottest first Mother’s Day!
Gigi Hadid will be celebrating her first Mother’s Day after welcoming her baby girl, Khai, in September with long-time boyfriend & former One Direction member, Zayn Malik.
While the news of her pregnancy got leaked, Gigi did go on ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’ to make the official announcement herself.
During the April 2020 appearance Gigi told Jimmy, “Obviously we wish we could’ve announced it on our own terms, but we are very excited and happy, and grateful for everyone’s well wishes and support.”
Gigi & Zayn announced the birth of their daughter with social media posts on their respective accounts. Zayn captioned his photo, “Our baby girl is here, healthy & beautiful to try to put into words how I am feeling right now would be an impossible task. The love I feel for this tiny human is beyond my understanding. Grateful to know her, proud to call her mine, & thankful for the life we will have together x.”
Gigi wrote, “Our girl joined us earth-side this weekend and she’s already changed our world. So in love??.”
Since giving birth, Gigi has not been shy of posting photos with her baby girl; however, she has YET to show Kahi’s face to the world.
We are waiting with bated breath.
Two other first-time mommas go by the name of ‘Emma.’ Emma Roberts & Emma Stone both welcomed their first bundles of joy.
Roberts gave birth to a baby boy in January with boyfriend & actor, Garrett Hedlund. She commemorated her birth in an Instagram post.
She wrote, “Thank you 2020 for getting one thing right ☀️ Our bright light Rhodes Robert Hedlund ?.”
Roberts made her pregnancy news public in August with a beautiful photo of her in a white, off the shoulder patterned dress while cradling her growing belly. The photo caption read, “Me… and my two favorite guys.”
Stone on the other hand kept her pregnancy and birth completely private.
According to People Stone wed ‘SNL’ segment director Dave McCrary in early 2020, and by March 2021 the couple said ‘Hello & Welcome’ to their first child, a baby girl. The couple met in 2016 when Stone was hosted ‘SNL.’
Katy Perry is among the many first-time mothers celebrating big on Sunday. Katy and her fiancé, Orlando Bloom, also welcomed a baby girl named Daisy Dove Bloom.
How fitting!
Katy announced she had given birth in August with, you guessed it, a lengthy social media post.
She did give some details into her birth writing, “We are floating with love and wonder from the safe and healthy arrival of our daughter.”
We also have to give shout-outs to other first-time moms such as Ellie Goulding, Emily Ratajakowski, ‘Vanderpump Rules’ alumni Scheana Shay, Brittany Cartwright, Lala Kent and Stassi Schroeder.
