Prince Harry's efforts to reconcile with his estranged family continue with the next installment of his Invictus Games.

The former working royal started the international sports event in 2014, honoring wounded and sick military service personnel. The games extended to veterans and those serving, with members of the Royal Family acknowledging their achievements with their attendance.

Given King Charles and Prince William's past support of the Invictus Games, sources claimed Prince Harry hoped to reunite with his father and brother through the event. However, some found the Duke of Sussex's invite to be a "desperate" attempt at fixing his wrongs.

Sources alleged Prince Harry hoped to reconcile with the King and Prince William at the 2027 Invictus Games. The event was set to occur in Birmingham, England, and invitations would be emailed to the Royal Family later this month.

A formal invitation to the games would reportedly come later, with insiders explaining that Harry sent out the email invites to ensure his estranged family could attend. They noted Charles was well known to draw up his schedule up to three years in advance, and the timing of the invites meant he could attend.

If the King and his heir apparent chose to join Harry at the upcoming games, it would mark the first time the trio had been spotted together since Queen Elizabeth's funeral.

Royal commentator Katie Nicholl claimed King Charles "absolutely wants a relationship with his youngest son and with his grandchildren." She added that this desire for reconciliation, paired with his "incredible capacity for forgiveness," could see him attending the 2027 event.

Fellow royal commentator Ingrid Seward echoed similar sentiments, noting the monarch could attend to show his support for "the Armed Forces and congratulate Harry on the most significant success in his life." Seward added that Charles did not despise his son, but his loose lips.

"The only reason the King is wary of associating with his son is that he no longer trusts him not to repeat their private conversations as he has done in the past. This goes for all the working members of the family," Seward claimed.

Harry's alleged plan to invite the Royal Family to the 2027 Invictus Games made him a laughing stock on X. One social media user mocked him for trying to crawl back to the noble life after willing leaving with his wife and children in 2020. In their words:

"He's so desperate for that royal sparkle, or at least to get his name linked with theirs in the press, while they've moved on and won't give him the time of day."

Another echoed similar sentiments, writing, "He's a man/child who wasn't disciplined properly. This is the result. I hope the guilt of his behavior weighs on him like an anchor on his back for the rest of his life. I sincerely do."

A third argued that Harry desperately wished to be a royal again, while a fourth claimed the Invictus Games invite was his usual tactic for attention. "He is running out of funds soon; he needs money, that's why he wants to reconcile," the X user alleged.

The Invictus Games weren't the only way Prince Harry has attempted to reconcile with the Royal Family. The Blast recently reported that sources accused the former working royal of using his children to catch King Charles' attention.

They claimed Harry was so "desperate" to reunite with his father that he withdrew his past order to keep his children off social media. Now, his wife, Meghan Markle, frequently flaunts their two kids on Instagram and tender moments between the family of four.

"Harry is completely heartbroken. His dad refuses to see him or the kids, not even on Zoom. It's a last resort," an insider said about Meghan's social media updates. They added that Harry hoped Charles would see the heartwarming posts and realize he was missing out on bonding with his grandkids.

Besides Prince Harry and Meghan's estrangement from the Royal Family, the couple has been accused of having a distant relationship with their Montecito neighbors. The Blast shared that Troy Aikman, a former NFL star, believed he wouldn't hang out with the Sussexes.

Despite living in the same neighborhood, Aikman noted he had never met the royal pair. "I haven't run into them. But they are there, from what I can gather. I think anyone with a heartbeat knows that they're out there. But I'm not hanging with them, that's for sure," he explained.
