Anna Camp's 'Wild' Age Gap With Girlfriend Raises Eyebrows: 'Keep Her Away From Schools'

"Pitch Perfect" and "True Blood" star Anna Camp is speaking out in defense of her relationship with 24-year-old stylist Jade Whipkey, after making their red carpet debut last week at the "Bride Hard" premiere.

Shortly after confirming the relationship, the couple was spotted kissing during a casual outing in Los Angeles.

Anna Camp and Jade Whipkey also appeared together earlier this year in a February TikTok for Mr.Big.USA, candidly sharing some of their worst date stories, but ever since, many have slammed the couple, specifically regarding the age gap.

More recently, the 42-year-old actress, who has faced online backlash over the couple’s 18-year age gap, took to Instagram to address critics head-on under a post by LGBTQ+ outlet PinkNews.

“Thought I’d jump on here since I follow @pinknews and just say I’ve dated men exactly my age and Jade is FAR more mature than any of them,” Camp wrote, clapping back at the wave of negative comments calling their romance “creepy” and “gross.”

One user even wrote, “Keep her away from the schools,” while another suggested it was “a midlife crisis.”

Camp didn’t hold back, adding, “We have more in common than anyone else I’ve ever dated and can literally talk about anything and everything [red heart emoji]. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, and I’m wishing everyone well. Especially this Pride month.”

The couple first sparked dating rumors in May when Camp reposted an image originally shared by Whipkey, showing the actress smiling across a dinner table with the romantic caption, “Her smile is a poem, her eyes are roses, her laugh is music for dancing.” Camp confirmed the relationship by resharing the post with a red heart emoji and tagging Whipkey.

Since then, the pair has gone fully public. Whipkey celebrated Camp’s Palm Springs Life magazine cover on June 10 with a sweet tribute: “You are the easiest person to celebrate and the sweetest to love [red heart emoji]. See you on the cover of @voguemagazine next.” The post also featured a snap of Whipkey wearing a tour-style shirt emblazoned with photos of Camp.

On Sunday, Camp continued showing love for her partner by posting a photo of their red carpet appearance to her Instagram Stories with the caption, “When her eyes match your dress,” along with a pink heart emoji.

While some critics have taken issue with the couple’s "wild" age gap, many fans and followers have rallied to Camp’s defense, calling out the blatant double standards women face in age-gap relationships.

“Men date girls 20–30 years younger all the time in Hollywood. Why is it an issue when a woman does it?” one user wrote. Another pointed out, “Why is this such a big deal because she’s a woman? Camp was previously married to actor Michael Mosley from 2010 to 2013, and to Skylar Astin in 2016, though their divorce was finalized three years later. But it seems she’s found something much more meaningful with Whipkey, and she’s not letting public opinion get in the way of her happiness.
