Ariel Winter's Braless Minidress 'Inappropriate On Day Out With Children'

Ariel Winter is an American actress, best known for her role as Alex Dunphy in the ABC sitcom “Modern Family,” which ran from 2009 to 2020.

She also has a career in voice acting, including voicing the titular character in Disney Channel's “Sofia the First.”

She also shares snapshots of her life outside of her acting career, including photos with her dogs. She also posts photos of her cooking and her life outside of Los Angeles. In addition to her personal life, she has also been known to champion various important social causes on her personal pages.

In 2016, The Daily Mail shared photos of Ariel and her family visiting the Grove in Los Angeles. Some felt that her "cleavage" was on "full display" and slammed her in the comments.

One fan wrote: "Inappropriate on a day out with children, in my opinion." Their take got over 1,300 likes.

Agreeing, another replied: "Exactly why would you where that to take your niece to see Santa Claus......no need for it."

Another user wrote, "Trashy to wear that with your niece to see Santa," while another expressed, "Horrible outfit in the presence of children."

Over 200 fans agreed with a comment that read: "Honestly, she thinks that's an appropriate dress to wear while taking her young niece to see Santa? How about making the outing about someone other than yourself? Talk about self-absorbed."

Ariel first started acting in commercials when she was only four years old, but has since left Los Angeles due to the traumatic experience of growing up in the spotlight. In a cover story about the negative comments to her changing body, she told People magazine that headlines making fun of her appearance were “everywhere.”

“It was every headline I read about myself, like, grown people writing articles about me saying how I looked terrible or pregnant or like a fat slut. I mean, I was 14,” she said. “It totally damaged my self-esteem.”

“I understood what it was like to be hated," she continued. "No matter what I was going through, I was a target. It made it very difficult to look at myself in the mirror and go, ‘I love this version of me.'"

In April 2020, after “Modern Family” wrapped its final season, Ariel decided that she needed a change of pace and moved out of Los Angeles. She and her boyfriend, actor Luke Benward, now lead a quieter life outside of the spotlight with their six dogs. She wants to make it clear that she hasn’t stepped away from acting altogether, but she is looking to get into producing.

“I just left the city of L.A. It holds some not-great memories for me, and I’m young and never lived anywhere else, and thought, ‘Why not?’ If you’re no longer on a network show that shoots there, you don’t really have to be there, and if I get a network show, I can easily go back,” she explained.
